American A.C.M.I leaser , AtlasAir , has launched operations from its New York base , formally from today. The company will be focussing on cargo routes operated real-world , as well as occasional chartered operations for its clients.
AtlasAir has already aquired a 3rd B1900 into its fleet , and is steadily increasing routes from its Glasgow ( Prestwick ) technical base , and will soon open London Stansted as a crew base.
The airlines board of directors are yet to comment on plans to step up there fleet size , but ATRs or Dash-8s are rumoured although not confirmed.
Steady route growth will influence the decisions AtlasAir make on future destinations , but the goal is to operate based on the real-world AtlasAir some day. We will keep you up to date on how this airline progresses.
