Political Restrictions S4E?

Hello,

I might have done something wrong, or missed something so maybe this question isn't needed, anyway. In S4E my airline is Based in CDG, and I start building my network. I recently build a terminal in BRU since an alliance membre is also having is base and hub in CDG. But Hardly every route I want to open, starting in Brussels has political restrictions. Only routes to France seem to go. Are routes forbidden since Belgium isn't the homecountry of my carrier? Because other companies are able to open routes.

Until 2000, you will only be able to open routes originating or ending in France since your airline is based in France. However, after 2000, you'll be able to open routes between any of the two countries in the EU Open Skies Agreement (see the link above).
