There are some people who might be regular players, but others just play for some time and then lose interest (I happened to be one of those people in the past, just to let you know). If that's the case, is it possible for players to quit AE and have their accounts removed? If not, why?

I feel like you can have your account removed. I think either send a message to a Moderator or Yuxi himself and go form there.

Why kill your account? Just kill your airlines & when you miss it all too much, you can just come back again. It's after you quit that you realise how addicted you are. Been there, done that.

Don't quit. AE is love, Posts are life.

You can always bankrupt your airlines and enjoy the forums instead

If I were you, unless my cash balance becomes negative without any assets to sell, I wouldn't file for bankruptcy.

To be or not to be, fat is the question.

You don't need to quit necessarily. If you're tired of AE you can just ride out whatever airlines you have and maintain radio silence, but still keep the account active in case you decide to come back. Also, in the scenario that you're account has awards to it's name (i.e. 1st Place finisher), deleting the account would also likely result in stripping you of those awards. Unless you're hellbent on deleting your account and quitting altogether, it's not necessary if you just want to take a break.

In a way, you are describing me - though I am, and will not, quit I only occasionally visit nowadays. Life is more important than AE, especially with kids! :P

Just remove your airlines and give yourself a break.

I think one does not need to have his or her account remove if they feel they are not interested in playing AE for a period of time.

Im sure plenty of you people have forum accounts in other websites, which you may visit a few times a year and dont really participate too much, so the same would apply here.

Don't delete your account, you'll want to come back. I've experience that boredom or situation where I must prioritize something else, and put myself in a hiatus from AE several times. Sometimes for a few days, sometimes for a few months. I believe I will do that again in the future. Still, it's always a good feeling to be able to come back, run an airline, read the forum, making liveries, or chat with a lot of good people and a small number of jerks in this place.

I'm another one of those people that went for ages then came back and honestly I'm glad I did as now it feels fresh again. Just shut the airlines down and come back after a short period away
