$1 Fares have returned

Sad to see that even at this early stage in the game $1 fares have returned. There was a lot of competition on the BNE-SYD route until a Q400 and 757-300 had their fare's set to $1. Takes a lot of the fun out of the game when a player dumps capacity like that. Your thoughts?

Get off the route, if you can't stand the competition... thats my thoughts.

Yea find another route or get a bigger a/c and 1$ there a$$, but there only hurting there own airline.

This early in the game it does take the pi$$.

Deal with it. If you cant stand the competition, leave.

Something can probably be done. What if there was a minimum price for a route. Some routes do run at cheap ticket prices like $80 or so, so I think that a $50 minimum fee should be placed as tickets shouldn't be lower than that. I'm not too sure if it would help the load factor of these people but it might.

$1 fares work, they reduce competition immensly.

yeah, this has actually been happening from the very begenning of the reset, just gone unnoticed by many

its because the stupid dopy flippin noobs just look for highest ticket prices from a certain airport and stick their inadequate aircraft on them when there is thousands of other routes that will get them more money....i will be resorting to $1 fares on my most profitable routes if poeple join them this early in the game as people are just too god damn lazy to find out their own route

the new ppl should have a good look at prices, PLEASE READ IF YOUR NEW TO IT... Start from 5 dolars above the highest price of all airlines, go down 5bucks until youve reached the max profit (u will now if your at the max profit because the profit income decreases when your under the max profit) i hope that made sense because thats confused me kinda,

IN reply to transnorthwest look at the suggestions page i have made a post to see ppls opinion in a min ticket price.. of course some of the huge ass airlines dont really care if they can beat up a few smaller airlines .. they can do it but in my opinion it is really slack for anyone to do it.. you rek the game for heaps of people and u will never know.. oh well im done whinging

Real World RaynAir - AE World, Maestro (Australia) will let you on one of his $1 low cost 747 flights before too long

At one stage I had 3 A330-300s on LHR-Valencia, all at $1. The competition evaporated, and the route returned to 1x E-195LR 3x daily.

Oh and Ryanair are horrible, even the £0 fares are too much.

i hope the next AE will make airports pay us to fly their heheh just sit back and relax as the money flows in mayb gov funding for AE lol .. i only wish

Granted, you get flights for 1 dollar.

It does not mean all tickets are sold at that price, as they are in this game (We don't differentiate between almost empty plane on booking and almost full plane on booking). The example of Ryanair is really a wrong one to make, since they also have plenty of fares at 200+ dollar..

Anyway, I am not in favour of either. A player should be free to set any price he/she wants, but should do so with some common sense. Especially the fact they don't realise others are also just playing a game and (likely) not taking it as serious as they are.. It ruins the fun, if something like that happens on your routes. Anyway, if anyone plays the trick on me, they'll get it back twice as hard..
