I believe miller added in a commonality bonus a reset or two ago...does anyone know if this is still in play?

Not as far as I know, however running a fleet with many types will cost you dearly...

Actually there is a benefit to common fleet types. You'll get up to a 25% reduction in operating costs depending on how many of a certain type of aircraft you operate. Just recently I included fleet commonality between different fleet types, such as the 737-600, 737-700, -800, and -900.
