Oh it's there. It's all exposed. If you've noticed the AE forum category description, it says "Possibly the greatest game in the world". I believe that in fact, Airline Empires is very likely the buggiest game in the world, taking into consideration the number of open bugs, the time it's taking to fix them and ultimately the seriousness of these bugs.

Airline Empires started out as a very new and interesting game in the free browser games industry - and many people joined. This is the first of the many annoyances: there is just too many people playing the game, too much competition and therefore nobody earns anything except cheaters and people who started when the grand opening ribbon was cut. Other numerous bugs and annoyances include the infamous gate bug, the DOP bug, the 'where'd my money go' bug, the 'I didn't get charged for my plane' or 'I sold it but never got any money' bug...and so on and so forth. You've noticed them, people have pointed them in your face and what do you do? Say it's gonna be fixed soon. When's soon?

That's another complaint of mine. AE is fine with bugs. Every computer program since the one which origin of the name bug came from has bugs. But others get it fixed much sooner than the AE team! Why? You could argue that their support teams are paid jobs, but so? You've created a game and you should fix a bug when one arises, unless it can't be fixed! If it's going to take time, at least tell us to be aware, and of course, compensate for those who lost money!

Lastly, possibly because AE's bugs never get fixed, is the fact that they're all game-essential! Without gates, one must buy more, spending and therefore wasting precious money. When one buys a second hand aircraft and finds no money is deducted, others begin to believe that they are cheaters when they really aren't.

I hope you have read thoroughly what I have to say. I really believe in this game and know that with proper attitudes towards bugs, especially fixing them, AE can become the greatest game in the world. Get rid of the possibly. It's a bug.

Interesting, that you throw down AE like this, and also throw Crap in the face of Miller and TorqueWrench who also have place many many hours of their own FREE time to make this game.

99% of your post is all about the bugs, and YES it has bugs but you have to understand that AE is still in (BETA) format, and that this version that AE place up on the web is FREE to play and I guess for players who find it annoying, FREE to exit also.

If you would of taken the time to read the forum, and Miller has made many replies in this case, of Lost money for missing or displaced aircraft, that (Miller will give you back 100% of ZERO) But I am sure behind the AE Iron Curtin the team who place their FREE time are looking into How and WHY and when found they will correct it.

As for the advance warning, in this game since the reset, we the players have been warned many times in advance or as it happens, in past (Pre-Resets) Little or NO words were utted, (Thank yourself lucky)

I am not here to stick up for Miller nor TorqueWrench, I am saying and many other will back up this too, Its a FREE Game, in BETA, if you do not like it, the exit is (ALT F4) :)

Even I am getting frustrated over losing money in aircraft sales and the gate issues. There have been so many recurring bugs now that there is somebody actively editing the scripts. If possible it would be nice if we could revert back to the original (pre-Torque) v.02 scripts and have a reset. But what Travelhouse said is true, if you don't like it feel free to leave.

I agree mostly with Travelhouse. I won't repeat her arguments.

One suggestion could be made however: communicate. I think it has been suggested before. I'm not saying that AE is bad for not doing all of this. I'm just saying that posts like the inital poster of this topic made, could possibly be avoided.

If at any point reading this you think it is critisism and the ALT-F4 action would apply: think again. I'm spending time here providing what I hope to be useful, positive feedback.

Status of AE: beta. Most people understand that this means bugs will be present. Some will think the task of a beta tester is to find and report bugs. Others disagree and call this cheating. But what does Miller want?

Reporting bugs: some people do not like announcing a bug in public. They are afraid the bug is going to be abused by others. As a result, some players may be hitting a bug without knowing it. They are then accused of cheating. Or they are not triggering that bug, but other players don't know the full details and misjudge the situation. A list of do's and don'ts would help enormously here.

Reported bugs: A lot is happening behind the screen for sure. The mantis bug tracking system looks promising, but if a bug is submitted and changes its state to fixed in four weeks, plenty of opportunities to communicate are missed. Suggestion: acknowledge seeing the entry. Acknowledge the bug (or not, of course but at least say so). Change status to "to do", "in progress", or "won't fix" etc.

Right now people feel like they are spending time, trying to be helpful, and the resulting material is dumped into a big black hole. That's obviously not what Miller22, TorqueWrench, and other moderators intend to achieve. That however does not make it less of a problem.

i actualy second the posters original comments

it just SEEMS like and i can only go on experience that bugs are left to get worse and we get the template reply "shut up its a free game live with it"

yes we know its a free game with countless number of hours put into it but the whole point of beta is to bug test and fix those bugs. To be honest after numerous rounds (maybe evn from round one) the load factor bug is still present when given the timeline it was first reported it should have been fixed by now. i actualy think players are now getting to the point where they are leaving ae because of this

just my 2 pence :)

I'm sorry? You have not got a CLUE what sort of changes i've made to the website... Since the last reset the only thing that i've changed has been the route display page and apparently people seem to like that... I've made very small changes to how the game operates infact i reckon i've only looked at around 2% of the code of this website.

It sure is nice to take the blame for something i've got not done... Any bugs that have occoured i've looked into... I'm still working on some of them...

We want 120% of that amount, lol.

Seriously, I'm sure you are aware your work is highly appreciated by most players (as is miller's). It may not be told explicitly everytime you do something; that doesn't mean we don't appreciate.

It's just extremely unfortunate that despite the game being the same as before, the number of bugs have increased.

We've never had the gate issues nor the missing planes/cash (in this scale). Miller finally found someone (Torque) to go bug-busting which definately helped during the hacker-era but it just seems like murphy's law with all the "new" issues...

There was no offense intended. I'm not saying its your fault.:) You have made many changes that have improved AE (aircraft deliveries, aircraft ordering bug(cheat), etc.). But, there have been more persistent bugs (losing aircraft on the used market, gates, etc.) now that someone has access to the scripts.
