Where are our gates

When I will open a new route and I look to my gates, more than half of my gates are disaperated. Is there some problem?

They *should* all be in place now...

Whatever airports are set at 0 gates, that is because all their gates HAVE been purchased... If you have an airport you wish to expand at that is full (i.e. no gates available) then i'm afraid you should have purchased the gates earlier

I've got the same problem all but 8 of my cities have disappeared. :confused:

I can see in my routes page that I am still serving them but they do not appear in my gates page. I had 3gates at LAX gone gate at ATL gone LHR gone YYZ gone LAS gone. And most of these I've been serving from the very start. Will we ever see our gates again

Same problem here still. Got only 4 cities left. Let me count what I had.
LHR(2) - BUD(1) -ARN(2) - EWR(5) - BRU(2) - BOS(1) -MCO(1) - DTW(1)

All I've got left is
BRU(2) - ARN(2) - BUD(1) - DTW(1)

I really hope to get all the ones I lost back

Im sorry, but u took away 3 gates i had (1 @ LHR and 2 @ Orly) before this post yet now u say this?

Im sort of pissed off becuase i closed a route for a couple of hours, to sell a plane to a friend and these spare gates i had for this particular route get taken away and then had to rebuy an Orly gate as it was the only one available...

I freed up some slots at LHR for some new routes, the slots disappeared and LHR is now all bought up!

I appreciate all the work being done to sort this.

Im missing, ORD (18)+Hub, LAX, PDX, JFK, EWR, STL, BOS, OKC, BWI, ATL and a few others, Im screwed with out my hub ... and ORD is show bought now.

It seems that if they are showing bought and no gates left, than I no longer have any gates their . I had 33 cities yesterday, now I have 26 and I added 2 last night. Please fix this, Im out a hub and most major airports now, if you look I am flying to them still just can't do anything to them.

It seems what has been done is the gates where taken away if the airport was set to 0 .

I have some gates that I fly to that I supposedly don't lease anymore... Just adding my name to the list.

I had 14 gates at Detroit go missing today. I can't rent more, as it is at 0, and can't adjust my routes because I'm afraid once I close them I won't be able to re-open them.

Not sure of my airline ID number, but it's Superior Airlines.

This is just bullsh*t, honestly. Yesterday morning I checked gate availability at CGN, and there were 60+ gates available (63 if I am not mistaken), yesterday evening it was ZERO. You don't tell me 63 gates get sold in a matter of 10 hours, even less.. If there is any reason the gates are at 0 now, it is because values were changed in the database, not because people bought the gates.

I now face the matter of not being able to expand beyond my 15 gates I have, as there is no way I can afford terminals this early in the game. They come at about 100 times my DOP (and that is a low figure). Besides, with all the issues surrounding gates, I am not about to invest this.

Too bad things like this destroy plans to form a decent star (hub and spokes) network, I do think that is the way to go to get big..

Please, do something about this. I know there are good ideas in you, very good ideas indeed. Please correct this mistake..

Tim, I am again NOT sticking up for TorqueWrench at all, but if one may explain you will see that AE have infact correct this not made it like you say Bull Sh......

Last week, some players had Minus hours in gates, and AE tried to correct this, at the same time TorqueWrench released the gates in Mass into the gates market.

Now Last night, TorqueWrench made an actual Airline count, against the gates that should be out in the market, so in real annoying terms, TorqueWrench is 100% RIGHT in saying what he did.

Now there is the exact gates out there.

Problem is, many still have NO (Zero) gates at all and still flying.

Some are flying a whole HUB of 20+ gates but they cant access them - So, thats for AE to sort out.

Having read the other thread, yes, I can see what happened, however, the gate number in Cologne (CGN) did not seem unusually high. This was the level it had been at for a while (more or less). It used to be around 90, last week or so, which is before the negative slot count occured. I was hit (badly) by that as well, having lost a full month's profit on two of my planes and reduced profits on the rest of them.

Anyways, while I understand what happened, I challenge the figure used for the gates, as right now, it just seems incorrect. Last time I was at CGN, I was not the largest, not even close, but I still had more than the current 15 gates, at that time. Now, others had more than that number, but at this time, that does not seem the case. If I would take my current Market share and set it out against gates used for myself, I would get to around 50 gates (as usual, overestimating). Add another error buffer and I get to 60 gates, roughly, in use at CGN. How far off could I be on this estimate?

In any event, it would not even be close to what it used to be at the start of the game. Once again, my call, correct this error.

I understand it the problem with the gates. But on my page of the gates I have only this that is showed: GOT Gotheborg, LGW London Gatwick, MXP Milan, ORY Paris Orly, VCE Venice, BLQ Bologne, GOA Genoa.

When I have also gates in: AMS Amsterdam, BRU Brussels, CGN Cologne, DUS Dusseldorf, GLA Glasgow, NCE Nice, STR Stuttgart. And they are disappeared from the page with mygates.

If I remove a plane that uses an invisible gate, ie LGA, will I lose the ability to use that gate for the sake of bumping to a larger aircraft?

Still no fix for this so it seems. Ain't gonna be a quick fix then. I should go read a book maybe; check back here in a few days.
I just hope we all get our gates back otherwise it'll be game-over. If I lose EWR, I lose my key-gates and before the reset it was frustrating to see I couldn't get hold on any EWR (showing 0 all the time); now since the reset I finaly got some and now they are taken away

I wouldn't risk that if I were you.

If you got a new bigger plane delivered you could try via the route page and replace the a/c but I wouldn't close anything!

Sorry, I try to keep up but I must've missed that. Either way it's not so bad .. if one doesn't touch his routes you can keep the income from those flights without paying the gate rent .. so it seems .. so we get compensation anywayz. But I'd rather be playing around than just sitting & waiting. It's good to have something for it though.

I do truely hope everything can be fixed, if any help is needed Im can help with coding. I think something like a db query to see how many routes are being flown out of an airport and give the airline the gates needed to fly the routes. And deal with a hub seperatly, since not many people have them let alone lost them.

I tried that and I was unable to use the gates (slots) that should have been opened up.
