How many aircraft do people have in their fleet? i'd be interested to know.
I have 2250 at the moment in R1, is that considered spam?

Oh my god, that's a lot of planes in your fleet! D8
For me, I think the largest fleet I had was back in S3-A, when I was just getting close to 700 planes in my fleet, even though I was based in the US. I think I had somewhere between 660 and 695 planes in my fleet back then before the world resetted.
No, that's not spam, that's just successful. If you want to be a big airline, you need a lot of planes. I've had double that in past airlines. Spamming is where you over-supply individual routes. As long as you yourself don't exceed the daily demand (even if other airlines have already exceeded it), I don't consider it spamming. The fact that you might have thousands of routes (needing thousands of planes) is not spamming, it's just the result of a lot of hard work!
12,966 at the moment. Just got my 1000th 737-800 and being very happy about it.

You can feel free to consider it spam or whatever but I probably won't hear it over the sound of my awesomeness.
I've got a shade over a hundred.
NAA is very easy to manage
4700 + 2000 on order. My estimation is that for covering around the 80% of US demand by 1971 you might already need around 15.000 average size planes. This directly points to the fact that the game should has a significantly lower demand, like half of the current one or even 1/3 to be more realistic. By just adjusting the demand formula it would be already possible to approach both issues: 1) route oversupply and 2) excessive fleet size.

I have about 2100 I think, and I'm only 14th spot because 600 aren't being used
