A few times I've noticed I've been wasting a lot of time on a lot of clicking because some names were too long to type,:

- in browse airports, UK and USA have to be typed to United K and United S, because UAE appears first, shortening all those to acronyms would make things faster since UK and USA are, of course, among the most searched countries

- in aircraft lists and the left column of seating configuration, it would be faster to find a/c if they started only with types instead of full name of the producer, because typing Boeing or Embraer or Lockheed or Hawker-Siddeley every time you need to compare or re-arrange planes is a waste of time, and if you switched to the beginning of a family you wanted to view it would be much faster with typing just 737... or E17.. or Trid... or L-101...

Sounds good. I'd be much in favour of a solution to this matter seeing that I've wasted lot of time like this.

Looks like you didn't pay attention on what I'm talking about. Try using ctrl-F in situations I described, no difference whatsoever because it doesn't work that way.

Yep, ctrl-f won't help you in the drop down menus.
