Greetings,
GMI has today announced that a new Italian carrier is now in the
works and that GMI has begun searching for a suitable manager.
The carrier will feature a new-to-AE brand and is to be based at Rome-
Fiumicino Airport in the capital. The airline will boast a fleet of Airbus only
aircraft, including the A320 & A330 families for short and long haul services,
respectively. Aircraft configerations for the aircraft have yet to be announced.
Airbus has also said that it has yet to receive any information of the new carrier,
despite GMI suggesting that an order is about to be placed for around 50 new
Airbus aircraft.
GMI is expected to release more details of the new carrier as they become
available.
Thanks for reading.
