Open Letter to AE Members, Mods, and Administrators

Good Morning AE Community,

I'll be frank and honest, and if you are not willing to read me criticising the game and community and not make hateful remarks, than stop reading this and go to another thread.

First of all, Yuxi has created a brilliant game. Probably the best one from this category on the net. The constant updates, bug fixes just go to prove that he is dedicated to keep this game fun and open for everyone. Thank you Yuxi. Now down to the criticism. Altough this game is great, the 'community' on here is a joke. I have never come across a more hyporcritical, self centered, hateful group as a good chunk of the active userbase on here. No matter what a person has to say on here, you are immediately shot down in a way to make you feel unwelcome, criminalous, and not understood. There are people like that on everyboard, but the sad thing is that moderators (for the most part, sorry to those that don't apply) either take a blind eye to this or participate in it themselves. I'm not saying Mod don't have the right to their own opinion because htey do, but they should be slanderous and hateful like a fine group of members on here is. Stevphfeniey, БобСоветскомщофд☭, Kate., NorthEast, and other included have really taken this game down to a dump. It is sad that a game this great can become so hated by me personally because some members can't discuss/talk without making it sound like their are part of some rude click. Mods here would rather have a blind eye to racism, offensive remarks, and hateful language by these users and others as long as it goes with their thought. Disgusting that moderators are willing to do this just because they'd risk loosing an active member for doing something about it (Sorry Fiercenight, but you probably account for a good chunk of this).

Yeah you'd loose a member, but is it worth keeping him/her is they only drive new members away? What does activity mean when during that time all they do is slander anyone they don't disagree with? You don't need to like someone but pardon my language, be a douche about it!

Let me go to say in the end, this game still has many good members like Perseco, Eastwind, Christmas, etc who altough may not like someone will remain kind and not be hateful towards them. Members like these should be applauded.

To the Mods: I know what you are thinking when reading this thread. "it's time to ban him, he's going on about us not doing what we should, etc, causing a stir we don't need". Go ahead and ban me if you wish. There is not point in probably being here if some mods and member are so morally corrupt. I'm just stating my honest opinion and I don't mind if you state your own in the comments section but please don't censor me, shift my thought, or slander me because I choose to speak up against some vile members on here.

Once upon a time, the community was some what more friendly and racism, offensive remarks and hateful language were somewhat more rare.

Oh, I'm HYG. I was banned. And yes I know I'm multiaccounting, and so do the Admins so no need to throw a fit over it

But in all seriousness, if I don't like someone, I usually won't flame them like some childish persons here do... I will find more creative ways to push their buttons (and sometimes get them to flame out) that won't result in me getting kicked/banned.

No not quite.  There are a few members here that do nothing only try to bring you down.  I don't do it yet there are a lot of people here who try to bully me (they know who they are but don't admit to it, which also tells you a lot) but it doesn't bother me since nobody here knows anyone else, really.  To me, everyone here might as well be computer programmed themselves and not be real humans since I don't know these people and have never met them in real life and don't know what kind of people they are really like.  

I won't comment on the members bullying HYG only that out of the four members I get on very well with two of them, I get on alright with another and the last well... they try to any the hell out of me even though I don't and never have done or said anything offensive to them (I recall that when I questioned their bullying they just began swearing at me and I also recall that nothing was done about it ;| )

It's kind of sad. Even 6 months ago it didn't seem as bad as this.  And it's not just two sides (i.e. two groups of members with each hating the other one) - it's just random and that would suggest that there is something not right. It's like a circle: I hate him, he hates someone else, they hate another person etc.  The worst of it has developed in the last in the last 6 months it seems.

Overall, it's rather sad that such a rift exists between different members and it would be nice if everyone made things a little bit easier for others and stopped bullying.  It's wrecking the place and ruins chat. Moderators haven't exactly done anything wrong and the more action they take the more they'll be criticised so that's one of the few things in the original post I disagree with.  Maybe a bit more could be done when it gets out of hand though.... (even a kick just to discourage it ).

but my question is how is someone opinion or what they think of about you affects you in real life? its just the internet? If it was like person then something must be done but other than that I dont really see why you should care what they said about you since you dont know them...

I completely agree with you DOC, unfortunately, on AE, due to the large community and varying personalities, it is literally impossible to stop bullying on this website. Some people who feel that they have better friendships with people than others may be able to take things differently than other members. So the goal is to stop bullying, but we cannot do that completely.
