question about credit

i currently am in debt, but my debt is smaller than the amount of credit i have (example figures, not true: -$7,000,000 debt, $8,000,000 credit)
when i go to buy gates however, i cannot purchase them as it says i dont have the funds to complete this deal.

why is this?

so next question ..whats the point in having credit then that is forgive my french "utterly bloody stupid" the new rule now i have to wait 3 days before i can open up new routes becayse i am 11 mil in debt and 13 mil credit!!!!

You can pay the bills, such as gate leasing at the turn of the month.

Actually, there is no point of having credit anymore if you can't do anything with it. It becomes a useless figure, it would be nice if you can buy planes with credit. It's pretty retarded having credit useless.

Just my 2 cents.

It's true. Credit doesn't make any sense from this change in the game, since you can't buy anything with it.

Paying bills at change of month doens't matter whether you have credit or not, because you can also get negative money as your cash.

So, as stated multiple times above: use credit for ordering aircraft and renting gates, instead of having a useless feature.

I liked that feature when you could buy gates in debt with your credit. Why did they have to take that away?

Just for a few abusers the majority will now suffer.

Miller here is a request:

Please then allow us to carry forward unused gates for 2 days instead of 1 day. Most of us for who stay around GMT time ( for me its 1'o clock in the morning when AE changes over) its very odd hours to be awake and buying gates. 2 days will make the whole thing a little relaxed and yet won't allow hoarding of gates by abusers.

That might help, but you are still taking up unused gates. Plus, you already get them for two months (2 days). The first month you get a warning and then the second month you get them taken away.

True drv but first month goes on ordering/recieving aircrafts so effectively 1 working month. Need I say I am up the s*** creek without a paddle or rather a yoke!

Ow great... first I get two planes delivered at the same time, due to the delivery bug, pushing me far in the red. And then it turns out I can't even use them as I would like, because buying gates on credit is not allowed anymore

I'm stuck and can't do very much for a few days, allowing my airline to climb very slowly out of the red ...

You should buy gates as soon as you can before your plane(s) is/are delivered.When I got my A321 I bought a gate at JFK the night before it was delivered (I am on London time) and I got a warning but I started up strait away.

Actually, I bought gates... I bought 1 at BRU and 1 at Warsaw... strangely enough, the BRU one was retook by airport authorities, stating I wasn't using it... I didn't even get the one month warning, but I did get the one month warning for warsaw, so I suppose another bug here...
