Boeing 707 v Douglas DC-8

I'll start us off, Boeing 707 because of its speed/range/seating advantages over the dc-8

Convair 990, it looks cooler than either of those planes

990s look better but need quite a lot of fuel, 707s are better

Coolest - 990
Short to Medium Haul - DC-8-61
Long Haul - B707-320C

707-320C due to range, pax and fuel for long haul
880M due to fuel, decent pax load, nice range for flexibility

DC8 are avoid at all costs

Up to now I've only got experience with the 707 and 990 and both are nice aircraft with decent profits. The 990 is one of the fastest aircraft in game. Looking at the stats, the Dc-8-30 looks horrible, while the difference between -50 and the 707-420/-120 is rather small. I'd also suggest looking at the comet.

DC8-61 when it comes out.

707 Hands Down. DC8 seems to be gas guzzler. 990 is decent. 880 is quite good, but lacks range for transatlantic.

The Comet is a bit of a fuel hog. Will do alright (barely) If the route is solo, but if there is competition, the Comet will not hold its own.
