Hey all -- new to the game and still trying to figure it all out. I've found a lot of good info here and on the wiki, but I had some trouble with changing plane seating configurations.

When I change the config of a plane that is on already on routes, I understand that it will have an impact on my supply/demand ratio of seats on a route - but I had some 200% load factors after I made a config change that went away only after hitting "save" on the route market research tab.

Also, I didn't make major changes to the airplane seating configuration, but I ended up with about 1/2 the profit on all my routes even after optimizing my prices after the config change. Am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be appreciated!

That's normal. As far as the game is concerned, you made a change, but it didn't recalc the numbers. Clicking save will recalc the numbers and remake the numbers.

Also, I didn't make major changes to the airplane seating configuration, but I ended up with about 1/2 the profit on all my routes even after optimizing my prices after the config change. Am I doing something wrong?

Don't think so. Also remember IFE/IFS will affect cost, as well as less seats in the aircraft. It could also be competitors elbowing in on a route.

Any help would be appreciated!

After a batch config change, the affected routes are put into a queue (shaded gray) for background recalculation. They will show odd numbers (like 200% LF) until the recalculation is eventually done. You can either leave them alone or recalculate them yourself if you're impatient. :P
