I find it odd how if you are flying to a city lets say PHX 56 times a week from LAX. LAX is the only city you have that flies to PHX, you have to get 2 gates however there is only one airplane that is there ever. Get what i am going at?

56x a week. That means 8x a day. You got 2 gates. And definetely you need 2 aircrafts to fly this frequency. There's a chance that during the day there are 2 planes sitting at both gates - 1 arriving, 1 departing.

okay fine i am flying 56 times a week San Fansisco-Oakland thats like 15 miles, (i know you dont need to but its to prove my point. i can do that with one aircraft. so now how many gates do you need? what i am saying, if you have 1 single aircraft and thats the only one that flys to an airport and there are more than 50 frequencies a week flown by you, it would never have a plane other than that one at the gate, why do you need two? it would never be used.

50 landing slots is what you purchase with 1 gate. It may be possible in the future to just purchase slots.

I've played the game for over a year and a half I know the gates come with 50 slots
just wondering why you need 2 gates to fly 56 times from another single airport

Because if you want your plane to land 56 times then you need 56 slots.

Because if you want your plane to land 56 times then you need 56 slots.
But the question is... if you have one aircraft capable of doing it 56 times in one day, why do you need two gates?

Actually... for 56 weekly flights, you'd need four gates: two at the departure airport and two at the arrival airport. The real question is... if you can do it with only one plane, why do you need more than one gate at each airport?
(And Fox has explained it above.)
