Aircraft Location ,
Take for exemple Red Bird Airlines .
In challenge #3 i own a 737-200. And i want to get rid of it so I sell it .
Now airline x comes along and sees my 737-200 on the used market .
Airline x decides they want to buy it so they select buy …
But because the plane was sold when it was still in Seoul-Incheon (RKSI/ICN) airline x first has to transfer it to their hub in Y .
I think AE needs this because all airline sim games have the function .
I know this will be a lot of coding and i am willing to help (aldo i really suck at it but still .…)
If anyone would mind at least reading this thank you .

What do you want to change exactly? Aircraft get relocated in the background all the time. If you move an aircraft from one route to another within your network, that's also relocation.

I'd like to have the transfer aspect
Like when you buy one or you replace plane x on route v by plane y and plane x transfers to route w( v&w have nothing common)

That's implicit whenever you change an aircraft's schedule (or ownership). I don't see the point in adding a manual step in between when there's no choice in the matter.

What do you mean by "the transfer aspect"?

Perhaps the price? though I assume that's already programmed in.

That's a good point, charging for the non-revenue ferry flight? :P

Are you suggesting a time delay for when purchasing aircraft? Such as if an aircraft was in service / manufactured in the US, it would take x number of days to be usable when bought by an airline in India (and more so than if bought by an airline in Canada?).

If so, I do like the idea, ferry flights may be a something that could wait for when proper scheduling comes in?

It would make a lot more sense when actual scheduling comes in, I would have that over the charge for a ferry flight.

if you think AE is same as airline sim, for the one day length (in a game) both are different. then, for aircraft transfer in AE its not important.

Would the extra 10 minutes really change the game?

A time penalty isn't really worth it.

What would be worth it is the required scheduling of ferry flights etc, which would come in after realistic timetabling, so we have a wait yet.

We could just add the cost in.

well, as demonstrated by cargolux, you don't have a ridiculously long ferry flight, you have a short one then a long flight with cargo to the hub, and u then put it on the routes you designated for it.
