Not sure if anyone posted anything about this before and I wasn't sure if I would either.

Having a bit of an issue. One of my destinations has an extremely short runway, meaning not all aircraft (almost none ) is able to land/take off here. However if I assign an aircraft that does meet the requirements and later change all its routes to a certain other aircraft that does not meet the requirements it lets me do it.

THe big advantage is that it doubles the amount of passengers so lower cost more profit.. but I feel like I'm cheating and thats where the issue kicks in...

Should I choose profit  or fair play :innocent:

you had to tell..? :P

Anyways, it's technically not cheating if it's there for everyone to use (even if it ought not to be) So you can use that feature... without getting in trouble. :)

It is cheating and you WILL have your airline deleted when it is found...
There have been previous examples of this.

I've said this time and time again - if you find an exploit like this, you should report it (either on the bug tracker or privately to a developer) instead of quietly taking advantage of it. In this case, you know very well it's not designed to behave that way.

Those who exploit this kind of loophole instead of reporting it are subject to airline deletion and/or account bans because it IS cheating. :busted:

Your logic is absurd: if someone forgets to lock his door, it's suddenly legal to steal things from his house because "it's there for everyone to use"? Equal opportunity does not absolve anything.
