Not for a while. We still have to finish performance improvements and bugfixes for 3.1, then replace the 3.0 worlds. Some new features will then be implemented in 3.x worlds over time, which will be come 3.2, 3.3, etc..
From now on we will do a version number / beta cycle only for major structural changes that preclude existing worlds from being upgraded mid-game, so the next version will likely be 4.x with cargo, then 5.x with timetabling, and so on.

Well, Sim 1 and 2 were DEFINETLY classics.
AE 3.0 really was a major improvement, but AE 3.1 just improves every aspect of it, that AE 3.0 really isn't needed.
Sim 1 and 2- DEFINETLY CLASSICS
AE 3.0 - Major redesign
AE 3.1 - Just totally improves every aspect of AE 3.0!
AE 3.1 is just a totally improved version of AE 3.0, they took everything from 3.0 and made it better, and its not necessarily a classic (AE 3.0). It's fun to play a game like Sim 1 and 2, but AE 3.0, it's not really that classical...

When 3.1 Is done, will we keep 1 3.0 world, like we did with sim 1 and 2?
No, it's not a different playing style - it just has fewer features and a crappier interface. Also, 3.0 worlds incur much more administrative overhead than 3.1 worlds
