Radiation suit? Oh no, try a bunker a few miles down that is self sufficient for the next 20 years! Plus, with that much radiation you will wipe out the whole USA plus other areas of the planet. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't survive yourself. Don't try to fly into outerspace either, since your SaverJet crew can't put together a safe aircraft for regular aviation.

Two. I'm in New Zealand. The power of nukes is overestimated. The furthest harmful radiation would travel would probably be Hawaii, depending on which way the wind is blowing.
