AND the reson I won't answer your posts above is because they've all been answer IN THIS SAME THREAD ALREADY! You're just answering the same questions over and over and over again! I've already answer them all, I'm not repeating it!!! We' ve proven prices will go down with the Austin example, yet you just ignored it, so you answered the question with falsehoods and misdirections! Obviously you're not FROM Dallas otherwise you'd know AA has flown from DAL in the recent past, and you actually say competition at DFW couldn't possibly be affected by DAL? Apparently you know very little about the airline industry, business, even basic logic! We've shown how noise at DAL is lower than ever! You haven't paid any attention to the sources prevented, and failed to present even one credible source! AND after Legend, I know Delta used it through Delta Connection/ASA, which further proves my point that competition will increase driving down prices! HOWEVER, you keep talking about gates, I'm talking about Flights Allowed, to which there is a limit, and that limit has been reached! Anyone can go to dallas-lovefield.com and just look it up, but apparently your debate team still hasn't covered how to research yet!

Still, I question whether you're from Highland Park yet. If you're really from Dallas, answer me one question . . . What is written on the ferris wheel in Fair Park? Someone from Dallas would readily know this.

AND if you cannot answer that simple question, YOU LOSE! Until you answer it, I FORBID YOU TO POST AGAIN!

WELL? Posted Image

Thank you! I can now confirm you are from Dallas, just as I'm sure you can confirm that I am as well.

I apologise for the insinuation, will you reciprocate that? The best way to solve an issue is to create inroads, this will also keep the thread from being locked again. :P

Ya know...originally coming from that neck of the woods, I never saw Jim Wright's reasoning for putting a lock on DAL for anything other then his own political gain. It was wrong when he did it, and it's still wrong.

There was a thread that I saw in another forum where Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson was thinking about trying to implement a 'compromise' as a way of taking ome of the steam out of the fight wright crowd (that being abolishing the restrictive ticketing arrangements that go along with Wright).

I live outside of Chicago, but work at ORD. We have two perfectly good airports that complement each other in the way they serve the area, even though one of them was woefully underused for a number of years (MDW). Did we see the federal government step in a put proximity restrictions on MDW to keep it from competing with ORD? Right...it's stupid, just like it's stupid to keep Wright in place.

AA is a viper when it comes to the business world and defending it's turf...if they feel so threatened by an airline operating out of DAL with approximately 1/8 the number of daily departures that they (AA) have, then why not just gradually repeal WR, and let the market decide whom they wish to fly on.

Let the fight to repeal Wright continue. :P

I love AA and I don't see they did anything wrong, all other carriers have tried the same practices but eventually have failed to hold their monopolies. US at PIT and PHL (PIT was their own undoing), NW at MSP and DTW (especially MSP), TWA at STL and MCI (AA took them and tore them apart, so they aren't that bad), DL at ATL and that fell as soon as Valujet became AirTran. UA never found one of those, as ORD their only chance has a 50/50 fight with AA and DEN had CO but now has F9 and SFO only has international, but AA is still decent and OAK and SJC are all filled with happy WN flights.

Lawyers and any followers of the industry should just marvel at the loopholes and exploits of AA over the years and how they do it as legally as possible. But it is fact, Love must be set free, even if it would hurt my AA, its one more victory over stupid older laws that we only keep due to grandfathering which we still a lots of, and a big A$$ victory over NIMBY's (who beat out United in my list as biggest pain in the ass for this industry). Now with WN's service out of DAL maxed out it is a double edged sword as all those DAL-AUS/HOU/SAT/ELP..... flights will see service reductions and price rises (although at WN's naked prices on those routes it wouldn't cause to much problems and could benefit AE with their DFW texas routes).

AMEN Brothers!

FYI on the compromise she proposed, but it was crap. The new requirement would've been anyone could fly anywhere, as long as they stopped somewhere at a neighboring state airport along the original restrictions first.

Alos, I don't hate American, I love the direct route to NRT (makes my business easier not having to stop at one of my destinations) but they are much more predatory with their Dallas routes than any other airline has ever been, and that bothers me considerably.

Its a start and I could live with that, but I'd rather see LUV fully free.
