I'm not sure when the game resets but i reall hope it doesnt because i'm having so success. And also because i think every 3 months is too frequent for resets.
I agree. There is still plenty of room for growth (in sim2 at least). And I'm actually doing pretty well

A well thought out fleet will still make plenty of money right now... I see a lot of airlines making really bad fleet choices and then some get on the forums and complain that their long haul routes aren't making anything. A really good example is: There are a lot of airlines using Airbus A330-200's on their long haul routes. This plane carries quite a few less passengers than the A330-300 and uses more fuel (in the game, perhaps not in real life)... in most cases the A330-200 is a poor choice when the A330-300 could have been used. There are plenty more examples out there but you get the point. If airline managers take the time to really compare the stats similar planes in the size and range market that they require then it would be a lot easier for them to make more money.

Maybe it would be time for a reset sometime soon. It is impossible for smaller airlines to grow and airlines that startup have no chance whatsoever. It is a bit selfish for the top players to keep saying that there are plenty of opportunities left when there are not!
I myself don't care very much as the game is boring anyway in it's present form but there are plenty of others who would like a reset.

It would be useful if we could lease or sell a/c to feeder airlines, or let them use our terminals and have their pax count for connections at hubs, which would reflect reality and assist late starters.

Being able to lease gates in our terminals would be wonderful. The big airlines can afford to buy pretty much as many gates in a terminal as they want and because of the discount I could lease you gates out of my terminal cheaper than the actual airport and still make a profit on them.
Sharing pax... no, that one I'm not so willing to do unless the two airlines are in an alliance together.
I'd like to see the leasng get finished too, its been in the works for a long time. I have a ton of aircraft that I'll never really use but there's not much to do with them short of running super low yield routes or mothballing them.

I have a lot of trouble agreeing with that. I don't think its the game that keeps them from growing rather than the lack of experience maybe. In the current state of the game an A319 can easily add $100,000-200,000 DOP. Those aren't exactly expensive planes, many airlines can buy at least one per day. Sure its more challenging to grow right now if you're a startup but I am still adding lucrative routes all the time, if the new players were reading back 6-12 months in the forums and asking for advice then they could still grow without a reset.

thats not all true... which one is better? the 737-700/600/900? i fly the 700. it carries less passenger and burns the same fuel as the 800/900, but yet it makes more money.I'm too in favor of waiting a while longer. There were some minor bug fixes already but there are still a lot of things that could be worked on before resetting again.

Very true I agree , almost every route has a perfect sized aircraftAt the end of the day, it really just depends on how it effects ur hubs. In some places, bigger planes may kill certain routes, while on others, it may just lead to goldmines.

Very well said. I have a number of routes where the -600 will produce the same or more DOP than a -700. Small cities can't suppport more pax, they just need the most efficient plane that can reach them with a minimal to moderate pax capacity. Some city pairs can support nearly any size plane so you can use -800's or -900's on those if you want to use a 737.

You guys are lucky you can buy large Aircraft. Even with 17 million once i couldnt but a single Aircraft
You can buy quite a few useful aircraft with 17 million. Remember, you only need 50% for the down payment. 17 million in cash is 34 million in spending power if you to utilize debt.

See, thats when u pay half the price, get the gates BEFORE month change and then go into debt and increase ur DOP...
But i never told you this,ok?

I just wanted to buy 1 or 2 J31s
J-31's are only 7.5 mil each, that was plenty to buy 2 of them... but then I have to ask why? At 19 pax they are nearly impossible to make any real money with unless its right at the start of a round. Later in the round I'd proably not look at aircraft smaller than the ATR-42 or Q300 unless you have a very specific need for a smaller plane. The smaller planes just can't make enough money now to do anything.

At the moment i have 16 million and still cant buy any single Aircraft
Jet, I'm totally puzzled by this. What steps are you taking to try to buy a plane? You have plenty of cash to buy a couple of decent turboprops.
