Sorry to complain but what fun is it when a players sole function is to prevent other players from participating and having any fun?  TWA in the 02 world does exactly that.  The guy has a monopoly on the entire game, an unrealistic fleet number and a valuation of over 10 trillion.  There’s a reason there are only 22 out of the total 95 airlines that are profitable.  Most sit abandoned and bankrupt.  TWA will pounce on any start up for no other reason than to run them off from the game.  He’s like the punk kid we all knew growing up that called “all time quarterback” in the neighborhood football game just so he could be assured of having the ball all to himself.  I’ve started numerous airlines recently on routes he doesn’t serve just to have some fun with the game.  In no time the route will be blanketed with routes and the price under cut.  No matter how you try he can and will squash your ability to play just because he can.  I won’t resort to name calling as to what I think of this practice but it’s sad when a player is that small that they won’t let anyone else play.

Capitalism

but asides that spamlines are really hard to deal with, i took advantage early on in that world by operating in countries that were ignored with a pure domestic focus. The routes i make the most buck out of are lesser low demand regional ones, operating turboprops and 737's, 727's. I have a few wide bodies in order to directly compete on the major routes which have lots of airlines flying them but they don't make the bulk of my profit. The open world maps are always like this, I guess consolidate operations in a country that was ignored by spamlines, major airports will like have all the gates taken so if you want to use them you gotta build a terminal.

I’ll politely disagree.  It doesn’t have anything to do with capitalism, the player is just being a turd.  It’s like opening up a coffee shop because you like to sell coffee but having Starbucks come in the next day and place stores all around you and intentionally selling their coffee cheaper for no other reason than to keep you from enjoying running your coffee shop.  There’s no way in the world you pose any threat to Starbucks but they squash you just because they can.  I just started a new airline at 0500 GMT with a sole airplane on a city pair he doesn’t even serve.  Evidently he looks daily to see if any new airlines start up and will immediately blanket the route with flights and undercut the fare.  Matching or lower fares doesn’t help because the route is now flooded with flights and he can of course operate with a loss because he has a (unrealistic) fleet of over 1700 airplanes and a valuation of over 10 trillion.  Tomorrow my airline will be run in the dirt with absolutely nothing I can do about it.  Can’t even play the game because of him playing like a sissy.  It’s all done just to be a turd, plain and simple.

So you haven't met the ass that runs "the empire" in any game worlds that allow more than 2 carriers? He's far worse and causes significant game performance issues.

Unfortunately I’ve met that dude too!  And you described him perfectly.  This turd must be related to him.  Guess if we’re dealing with people who have to cheat in a simulation game we shouldn’t be surprised.  Unfortunate because it’s a fun game to play when you don’t have a bunch of sissies ruining it.  Too bad the admins don’t do anything about.

I'm actually perfectly fine with people like "The Empire," cause they're not ruining it for everyone else. He just spams demand on tiny regional routes to get himself  first place. If you want to run an airline in a world he's in, you can just go ahead and accept you won't get an award, just enjoy playing.

However, I absolutely despise actively ruining the game for others by destroying and bankrupting every airline that starts up. That ruins the whole game and prevents people from playing, let alone getting first place.

Agree with both statements.  I’ve played in worlds where the empire runs his show.  Although I think it’s ludicrous he doesn’t ruin it for anyone else.  This TWA turd however does exactly what you described.  He immediately destroys any airline that starts up and PREVENTS others from simply having fun.  He has to use some type of cheat as his fleet size is unrealistic.  Must be a small person to act like such a sissy.  I could care less where I rank at the end of a game.  I’d be nice just to be able to play.

Y’all I sent the guy a message the other day asking him why he insisted on squashing every airline I started.  To my surprise he replied today and apologized for doing so.  Maybe there is some humanity left in the world.  Y'all enjoy!

He's an ass on the forums, too. Smug jackturd.
