Hi I started an airline in R0 a day ago and I'm having trouble making a profit. I currently have 5 Bristol 170s and am mainly basing a regional service in England and I don't have any competition. Does anyone have any tips to how to make a profit because currently I am losing around 400k money every month.

I'd recommend creating an IFS config that has lowest quality and highest price for all menu option. Also make sure all your staff wages are cut to minimum.

I would suggest that if you aren't finding a profit, lowering your costs and increasing your gross profit might help you create a profit

Do you have to be a pain everywhere?

First, start your airline as soon as possible, preferably within the first in-game month. Start in an airport where no other airlines are headquartered or hubbed. Start in a medium size airport. Select either of the first two options for starting aircraft (depending on the world's time period you can select more than the first two). Immediately lower all employee salaries to $7/hour with no reserves and no profit sharing. You automatically start with reserve mechanics so fire them immediately. Then, create Scam IFS - all food options at lowest quality and maximum price, all amenities at max price (except headphones - don't select them at all), and set this as default to all routes. Never create IFE. Leave your aircraft in default configuration of all economy. Immediately lease aircraft of the same type as your starter and up to 2 additional types for the first few months. Create routes where there is no competition but high demand. Open a hub and terminal as soon as possible. Start purchasing planes instead of leasing once you have enough money to purchase planes regularly. Join (or create) the largest alliance. Eventually, you can start "spamlining" by opening multiple nearby hubs (where hopefully alliance members are also hubbed) and running as many flights as possible between them at the highest price where you still have a 100% loadfactor.
