Stop spam airlines by not permitting any airline to schedule more than 2x the daily demand on any route

Spamlining is not “ruining” AE’s potential, it’s just one possible strategy to play the game. As for the “lack of skill” part, spamlining does require some skill since you have to know how to do it. Saying “it’s the only way for anyone with a lack of skill to enjoy AE” is just false, there are clearly other strategies people are using and enjoying; what’s enjoyable about this game is you can run your airline exactly as you want.

Spamlining is certainly not a “strategy” or skill. Knowing how to run a spamline doesn’t equate to skill simply because it requires knowledge on how to run one. Spamlining is low-hanging fruit - a cop-out to hitting the top ranks. No one can compete on $1 tickets and 50,000 seats on a route (I’m looking at you Duck).

If you can amass so much wealth from spamlining that you can single handedly control any route in a server, it’s not a strategy but an exploit.

Last time I checked, UAL didnt operate the 747-400M and most certaintly did not operate the Boeing 737-300 in a 2/15/105 configuration, nor did they operate the ATR42/72 and CRJ200 at a mainline level.

I just got back from a five + year hiatus and wanted to chime in.

 

I think OP is merely wanting a more realistic world where the 8k+ seat over saturation with tickets at a dollar a piece don't continue to be a thing. Totally understand it's some folks play style, but from a realism stand point its not really possible. 

 

Also may be part of the reason the same 5-10 top folks are playing this game years later and lots of new faces. People come and go, but it's a bit silly for those wanting to play in a realistic type world, IMO only though.

I wouldn't mind it. But the OP's airlines isn't even realistic. He is a spamliners operator himself. He just got angry that he lost to other spamliners. If all the players in that world would be realistic then I would agree, but they are not.

Kinda confused here, what makes an airline a spamliner? Also, is my airline a spamliner?
