Hello everyone,

I am fairly new here and I have found a new hobby in designing liveries in my spare time..

First of all, you guys do AMAZING liveries, whether on your own or for others!

Where do you guys and gals go mainly search when looking for vector images to use in custom livery art? I've looked at 123RF and Adobe Stock for some, but I never seem to find some of the great variety of flowers/animals/logos that everyone seem to find.

Any Suggestions?

Regards,

AJ

Some make their own logo's (like me), and some just take a logo/image from google images and replicate them in illustrator with vectors.

I usually my own logos, but on occasion I've used pixel-based images from google or some obscure clip-art site, and edited it as needed for my personal uses.

Example: SunWest's sun logo is literally free internet clipart. At the source I found it, I couldn't even find an author. At the time I was developing the brand, I didn't have illustrator or a drawing tablet, so I was forced to go with a pixel-based clipart image to achieve the vibe I wanted it to have in the third version.

As far as developing your own logos go, I'd look at real-world airline logos, logos from fictional brands here, and logos of large companies such as Under Armor or Apple.

Once you've mastered the basics of using the pen tool in Illustrator, you can do virtually anything.
