DXB is a pretty expensive starting airport. Take out some big bonds and lease as many used MD-8x and BAE Avro RJ-100 as you can afford. Those belong to aircraft types you have to pay base maintenance for already. Avoid strong direct competition, use routes to full potential. Also there is a lot of helpful forum posts. In R5 this is my second airline and I am #3 even though I started 3 days late. Good luck and fly save.

My tips on setting up
If you have a lot of time in your hands: order as many aircraft as possible, one of each kind, if it’s around 1980-1990s preferably lease a mid 100 seater aircraft
Set all employees pay to $7
Set all routes to scam IFS
You’re pretty much started
Be sure before the 1st and 16th of each month spend all your money on leasing planes
DO NOT take up bonds since if you’re inexperienced you won’t be able to pay the bonds and your airline will be declared bankrupt

If you do not have a lot of time or inexperienced
Just order as many of the aircraft you’ve chosen, scam IFS, $7 pay, and that’s about it
