You already have the A320 family as the basis of your fleet... so stick to it.

Also, your random configurations are awful :P

You can control that be re-configuring the aircraft with your own configuration.

You should consider that each aircraft family has a pretty big base maintenance cost in addition to the cost per individual airplane. You can see what I mean if you look at Airline finances tab in game.

Base maintenance isn't really a problem unless you're running a very marginal airline. One or two planes in a family should cover it fairly easily, three or four and it becomes unimportant.

Very early on when starting an airline, it's just about worth thinking about - but only to the extent of e.g. deferring the first deliveries for a couple of weeks to get a couple of planes together, or to get them at the start of a month instead of the end.

Maintenance base costs are a big silent drag on expensive aircraft...they only don’t matter with super cheap AC like DC9 family or Russian planes. It takes many more planes to cover maintenance base on expensive types than 2 planes...when I switched my I963s to 762ERs I calced I would need about 10 before I started seeing the savings on fuel over the huge annual maintenance 767 base cost. If you are trying to be efficient, operate the least number of families you can even if perhaps the most perfect plane for the mission is in another family but you don’t ever intend to buy the rest of the AC that family comes with. I think A320 and A330 family are great investments—versatility and efficiency across range of use cases. One offs like A300 and 767 need to be big commitments. Not to even mention insane A380 costs. Not to say don’t do it, just don’t make your short haul fleet look like A318, 734, 738, T214, and A320neo with 5 each.

As far as Airbus or Boeing, don’t limit yourself. On the big end of the spectrum, 773 and 747 have great use cases and are without equal. On small side, A318 is also a super interesting plane with a performance envelope that is not matched for unique low demand services.
