In my mind, the IFS is a way not to make profit, but to increase reputation.  Mostly, the way to profit is to have no IFS at all, as I can't find a profitable IFS either.  I just wanted to put that out there.  But, if you do find a profitable way to provide IFS, congrats!   :D

There is a profitable IFS, problem is are you going for $ or reputation? The way to make profitable IFS is to charge max price for the minimum stuff, but of course it wouldn't earn you lots of rep because it's 1 star rated

I can only say that you never put Headphones in your IFS because through a bug the headphones are costing more than showed

I found somewhere what was called "Scam IFS". The recipe:

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner - all 3 options at lowest quality, but set at highest possible charge (50, 70 and 90$)
  • Snacks - all 6 options, highest quality, 0$
  • Everything from next page checked and 0$

That somehow gets you 3 stars and 410$ profit per passenger O_O

You can get a somewhat profitable (and more realistic) IFS by giving them a couple meal options and charge 4-5 dollars more than its cost, a couple of few snacks, free newspapers, and charge for souvenirs and entertainment packs (again 5-6 dollars more than their cost).

I have a Concorde IFS Used just for them.

Max everything and for free.

I'm already gouging on my 64 First class only Concords. Might as well let them have some free stuff.

Higher frequencies + shorter flight cycles = more profit.

IFS makes (or loses) money per passenger per flight, so if you could, I dunno, set up 2 hubs like within 30 miles of each other and spam flights between the two...

you didn't hear that from me
