So, I’m an airline in the world S4B. I’m based in Istanbul Turkey and I wanted to fly the 777-300ER from Istanbul to Paris Charles De Gaulle. I have a checked both runways and they are fit for the 777 and as far as I know there are no political restrictions as there are other airlines operating this route. My problem is that I cannot send the 777 on that route.

try clicking on the airline tab in game, click add route on the selected aircraft and try it that way

Update. I tried sending an A320 over there and tried to replace the routes with the 777 but it doesn’t work. I guess the problem is with the plane.

Actually in game terms, the runway at IST is only long enough for a 777-300ER if you use the less fuel-efficient engine option (the GE90-115B). The other engine option has a longer minimum runway length requirement.

And in any case, using the -ER version on such a short route seems extremely wasteful to me...

Ah, alright. Thanks for telling me man! You have any other recommendations for said route?

The only recommendation I have for you is perhaps to use a 777-200ER or, if you need the capacity, a 747-400. There really isn't a plane that will fit the runway you need with the 550 pax max that you get with the 777-300ER.

For such a short route you really don't need the -ER version of anything. For high-capacity short haul routes A330-300s are probably the best option, supplemented by the A320/737 families if there's still spare capacity. If you really want to up the ante then you could go for the 747-400D but bear in mind they have much higher fuel flow and a longer turn time than the A330.

-ER (extended range) is only useful when you go long-haul.
