In response to comments about Canadian Air System not being a very ideal name for an airline, I considered renaming it as C2 Airlines from the 1990s onward (it will still be known as CAS before then). What are your thoughts on this renaming? Is this a nice name? (Note that even though I still plan to keep the flying caribou from CAS, this time I would regulate it to secondary status)

This is what I came up for the logo. Feel free to comment if there's anything that could be changed:

"C2" sounds kind of... unnatural. If you try and put it into a situation in which airline names would be used, it seems kind of choppy."

"Thank you for flying C2 Airlines."

"I'm flying C2 to Edmonton."

The name also doesn't fit well with the whole "legacy carrier" effect. It sounds low-cost, and I wouldn't consider flying a "C2" in business class transatlantically if I heard it off of name alone.

Not to mention, a name should have some history behind it. If it's going to be "C2," then the name should at least be derived from something with two C's. I personally still think CAS was a better name... although if you pull something of a JAS (Japan Air System), you might get by with sticking with the name rather than its acronym. "Canadian Air System" is still on the rough + choppy side though.

I don't know about any other names, so that's why I was asking others here. (My airline is based in YYZ)

C2 looks a bit tacky imo. It reminds me of the Russian S7 airlines. I’d suggest pricing sest 2C very highly.

Stick with CAS, it's way better.

Holy cats I figured out a name

Canadian Air Transport System (CATS)

Just kidding lol. If you want a good name that will bring international recognition Embassy might be a good name. Just think of words that project power and global cooperation.

Embassy Air Lines sounds like a nice name. Doesn't it?
