The New Airport For Adelaide Council (NAFAC) have unveiled the final plans of the state of the art domestic terminal, to be constructed at the unnamed new airport for Adelaide.

Gates A1-A5 and A12-A15 are narrowbody only (B737, A320, E-Jet, C-Series etc) whilst A6-A11 are domestic widebody capable (A330, B767) with singular jetway operation. A16 is designated as a multi-use "busgate" to transport passengers to aircraft on Hardstands. A17-A20 are regional aircraft only (F-50, CRJ200, ERJ, Saab) and assume usage of inbuilt aircraft stairs for boarding. Spaces exist at the new airport for up to 4 domestic airport lounges.

 

NAFAC is happy to announce that all retail outlets in the current Adelaide Airport, including Hungry Jacks, Newslink, Coopers Ale House, Cibo Express and Virgin Media will be moving to the domestic terminal at the new airport. New stores to open at the airport include Relay, Tech2Go and Mimco.

NAFAC is also pleased to announce that, through an exclusive deal with the international megacorporation. Duncan, Airport Services will be supplied by Acadia Port Solutions, with airport branding supplied by Duncan Designs.

 

The name for the new Adelaide Airport is open for public submissions, submit by contacting the chief of the NAFAC, Mr Jacob van Zanteen

Just double announcing that New York New Jersey Airport – NYJ is now accepting offers for gates and slots.

Autumn Airlines is willing to lease gates C1 and C3 for its daily flights connecting NYC to major China hubs like Beijing,Shanghai (PVG), Chengdu and Guangzhou operating A/C like A380 and 777-300ER

 

To add on we are glad to announce our intention to lease 4 gates (preferably C1-4) Roosevelt Intl, Washington D.C, for our flights from China as well as for our 3rd freedom connecting Washington D.C to major US cities like San Francisco, Chicago and Seattle. These flights would be operated with a mix of 777-300ERs, A330-300s and the upcoming state of the art A350-900 (where we would launch the 1st ever A350 flight from Beijing as AQ 50). We would also like to open our state of the art lounge (branded AQTown) for passengers flying out with any AQ or SkyRoutes member flight departing Roosevelt Intl.

We can give TransCanada gates F7-F9 in Terminal 2. In addition we can provide slots in D Concourse for all 4 airlines, and all of these gates are A380 compatible. In addition NYNJ Airport can offer you space for a lounge across from gate D11, if you so desire.

Big orders for you guys:

 

transcanada would like to purchase 3 gates at Terminal 2 of NYNJ Airport (we will only be providing service from airports with pre-clearance facilities) additionally we would like 2 gates at Roosevelt (again only serving from pre-clearance airports but we will happily accept any concourse allocated)

 

SACA, Flug Deutschland, JNA and Arabic Airlines all wish to purchase gates at NYNJ and Roosevelt. FD and Arabic will be requiring A380 capable gates at NYNJ while SACA and JNA will require 777 capable gates. FD would like to send 747s to Roosevelt and all other airlines will be sending up to 777s

 

We'd be happy to give transcanada gates C20 and C22 for service. We'd like to locate SACA and JNA's services in Concourse B, mostly likely at gates B28 or B29. FD and Arabic can take gates at Concourse C for A380 service. Please contact us directly for scheduling. ^_^

Following a study and survey of existing infrastructure, the cities and boroughs of the New Orleans Metropolitan Area have come to the conclusion that replacement and advancement of the cities infrastructure and transportation methods are of the highest priority. 

 

In the study, the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority, Louis Armstrong International Airport Board, and New Orleans Port Authority were brought in to weigh the options at hand. Following discussions with the Federal Aviation Administration and the Federal Railroad Administration, the City has decided on a project that would better link both the city with itself, and to the rest of the world.

 

A section of land off of State Highway 90, south of Ama, Louisiana, has been selected as the site of the new John B. Moisant Louisiana International Airport (KLIA), the replacement for both Louis Armstrong International Airport (KMSY), and Lakefront Airport (KNEW). The new airport will integrate the capacities of the two existing airports and merge them into one, and unify the cities air transportation at one location. As for the existing sites, they are to be demolished and closed, to be redeveloped to better serve the cities they reside in.

This image depicts the current KMSY location, in relation to the land that is to be developed into the new airport. This land has been found to be suitable for airport growth and development that allows the airport to expand on an as-needed basis. Additional land between State Highway 90 and Lake Cataouache is also up for consideration if needed, rerouting State Highway 90 below taxiways. Additionally, New Orleans Regional Transit has agreed to supply the new airport with buses and a new heavy rail link system currently known as the "ZephyrLink" running from KLIA to the New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal near the Superdome. Associates from similar rail systems across the country have been brought in to provide information on the new rail system. Additionally, NOLA RTA has agreed to an expansion of the famed streetcar system, currently to be determined.

The above image depicts the currently planned ZephyrLink route that will link the city-center with the new airport. The route is currently under development, however there are planned to be stations along the route for citizens to access and use along the route, not just to the airport.

The above image depicts the planned initial terminal complex. This terminal has been designed to not only represent New Orleans, but Louisiana as a whole. Taking the famed shape of the Fleur De Lis, the terminal additionally promotes safe and easy air transportation because of it's spacious design. The new terminal will be able to accommodate both the smallest and largest aircraft in the aviation market today, from the Embraer ERJ, to the Airbus A380. The three concourses are all accessible both by underground and above ground connections, and have dual road access on either side that leads directly to State Highway 90, and the new Louis Armstrong Boulevard which crosses the river in Ama.

 

Terminal 1 consists of the following:

  • 3 Concourses
  1. 44 Gates in Concourse A
  2. 40 Gates in Concourse B
  3. 40 Gates in Concourse C

Each concourse consist of the following facilities:

  • Customs and Border Patrol (City Port of Entry)
  • Fast Moving TSA Security Points, and TSA Pre-Check.
  • Above and Below ground inter-connectivity via people-moving equipped walkways.
  • Centralized Check-in and Baggage Claim
  • Roadside access with taxi and bus stations

 

Additonally, Centralized Rental Car Facilities can be found between the Check-In Lobby and the ZephyrLink Station, and shuttle buses can be met on both sides of the roadside area for transport to the rental car lots.

 

 

The New Orleans Airport Board is taking applications for relocation/admittance into the new airport. Airlines and other tenants are encouraged to contact now to sort out their accommodations.

The New Orleans Aviation Board has released this mockup of the current terminal setup in an update to the initial project. Additionally, the board would like to notify potential tenants that we are at approximately at max capacity. Additionally, the board has begun offering air cargo slots to potential cargo handlers.

  After long hours of construction and negotiation, the following airlines have agreed to host the first few flights for the new airport in the Minneapolis region. Along with this, Chouman Global Cargo has hinted torwards a potential superhub onsite which would create thousands of jobs for the local area. The airport, run privately by the NW Group, has been hailed as a beautiful peace of archeticture on the inside, inspired by Northern European design. Landor has completed all design elements and therefore the airport is now open. The first flight has been announced as NW5436 REI-NRT on N678AN, a 15 year old 747-400 on its last away flight. Please contact LebaKnees directly for gate information.

Update from Roosevelt International Airport, Operations Office

 

Airport authorities, officials from Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia, and WMATA officials were on hand today to unveil the Roosevelt International Airport Metro Station, with the inaugural Blue Line train arriving from Largo Town Center via. Downtown Washington at 9:00am, and the inaugural Green Line train arriving from Greenbelt, MD just a few minutes after. The new link means that passengers are able to get from Roosevelt International Airport to Downtown Washington in approximately 30 minutes or less, at a cost of $2.50 during off-peak hours or $3.50 during peak hours. Trains will run every 2-5 minutes during peak hours, and will run every 6-8 minutes during off-peak hours. On weekdays, trains run from 5am to after midnight, while on weekends, trains run from 7am to midnight. For more information on timetables, visit the WMATA website here.

In addition, officials opened Concourse D today, home to hub-airline Vanguard Airlines. With this, the airport has streamlined operations between carriers of different alliances, allowing passengers to connect easier to different airlines and solidifying Roosevelt International Airport's status as a global hub. A new FIS facility has also opened under Concourse C's Southern building, serving Concourse C and D and allowing for international arrivals to arrive in those areas instead of previously arriving in Concourses A, B or C North.
