Possibly. The X may be quicker than those two, but it only ties the Corvette Z06 when it's in ludicrous. The 3 may change the market because it's a tesla and has the wow feature, but there is also the Bolt, which does compete quite heavily in that market, in terms of cheap electric cars that aren't terrible and have some semblance of range.

From what I can tell, the 3 is going to end up being a value purchase, despite it's high price. It's looking like an incredibly well designed product compared to the Bolt. The Bolt has around 7000 orders this year from what I have seen. The 3 has over 400000. Tesla is having a hard time making the 3, but they are winding up rapidly. I reckon they'll be in full flow by january. And I reckon that is when the market dimension will shift in no way ever seen before in this millennia.

Yes yes as i said, the wow factor that Teslas have. However, since the Bolt isn't much of a car for Pre-orders as for current purchases from Chevy dealerships. Also - it is pretty popular for the price range and size, I've seen a lot around seattle and vancouver.

While I have not actually owned a car (yet), I have learned to drive in a few.

The first car I learned to drive in (for the majority of the time) was my principal's 2006 Toyota FJ Cruiser (similar vehicle pictured below)

2007_toyota_fj-cruiser_4dr-suv_base_s_oe

The only modifications he did to it was a 3 inch lift kit and off-road tires (he climbed trails in the mountains and stuff in it)

Really nice car to drive.

The other vehicle of his that I drove (though not near as much) was his 2015 Subaru Outback (similar pictured below, although the actual car is white)

2015-subaru-outback.jpg

As far as I know it has all the bells and whistles, although I preferred to drive the FJ for these reasons 1. I could actually fit into it 2. I really didn't like all the gizmos the Subaru had (I couldn't even figure out where the ****ing volume knob for the radio was at) and 3. I liked the feel of it better.

The 3rd vehicle I drove in (only a couple times, thank god) Was a 2005 Pontiac Montana owned by my Aunt (similar picture below)

2005-Pontiac-MontanaSV6-w-1SBPkg.jpg

My least favorite car to drive for these reasons:

Interior upholstery and overall quality absolutely atrocious because Pontiac.

When I drove it it seemed like it was about to fall apart.

The right electric sliding door and electronic compass refused to work.

The only good plus side was that the engine pulled really well.

Then when I was down in Newton visiting my Aunt & Uncle, I got to drive my Uncle's vehicle.

The first vehicle I drove 99% of the time was my Uncle's 1994 Ford F-150 Extended Cab XLT (similar picture below, although it was a red and white two-tone)

1994-ford-f150-xlt-4x4-extended-cab-shor

Not much wrong here. All original except for the bed that had to be replaced because some dumbass college student rear ended it while it was parked on the street (I think she was texting on her phone), nice to drive, and is in excellent condition for its age (only had ~110,000 miles on it when I drove it).

The only thing I didn't like about was that there was a lot of play in the steering wheel (don't know if it's because it's a mid-90's Ford or just because it's 20+ years old) and it MAY have gotten 15 miles to the gallon on the Interstate.

That does it for my list, as for a car for myself, I'm still pondering a few.

I hope I didn't bore you guys to death with my long article.

You didn't bore me! That sounds really cool. I sort of want to drive a pickup just for fun.

So, I know there are a few out there, but...
What was your first car? The one you brought or learnt to drive in, or had your first legal drive (Keyword Legal, if somebody posts about driving around their uncle's ranch in his 69' T-Bird when they were a weee little twelvie, I'll kill you)

So, my first legal drive was in a 1995 Holden Barina Manual, much like this

From then, I graduated upto a 2012 Toyota Landcruiser Prado GXL, similar to this
toyota_land_cruiser_prado_a1331683203b69
Then a few mediocre cars.

2008 Ford Focus (It was ok, no power above like 4000rpm though :( )
1989 Subaru L-Wagon (it was crap)
2013 Honda CR-V (Nice VTEC Engine ^_^ )

Then finally, we come to my car ^_^

Whatever they call it in Australia, they cannot completely hide the fact that they really sold you a Vauxhall Corsa as your first car.

*Opel* Corsa.

Yep, that car was so bastardised around the world, considering that I drive a "Chevrolet" Corsa.

Yes, but in the UK, a culture of hatred has developed among everyone who can afford a better car than a Vauxhall.

Damn!

It is the UK for self also. That Holden is literally a Corsa. They just slightly restyled it to look like it isn't. But they failed. Vauxhall are getting far better, but they still need to catch up. They certainly aren't cheap

They are getting better though, you've got to admit. Their version of the Chevy Volt is way better than our version here.

Yeah but it failed and was withdrawn. I agree Vauxhall are getting better but at the time they were terrible.

You're saying that like you'd be able to afford a seat on a plane, let alone premium economy.
