Good day
So this is a trip report covering my recent flight from CPT to BNE via JNB and HKG aboard Comair South Africa and Cathay Pacific. All photos was taken with my Nexus phone so some of them are blurry and taken in very poor lighting and not very great conditions so beware and don tell me the photos suck I did warn you
I booked the ticket Business class on the CX website for 20th February 2015 at R39 880.(about $3110 US dollars) A steal for the price and the cheapest fare I could find for the date.

I started the morning quite early, waking up 3:30am and leaving the house at 4am ish. We arrived at the airport about 4:45 am and made my way to check in. With no line yet visible I proceeded to the agent. As soon as he wanted to book me in he said we have booking problems sir. Cathay Pacific booked you in as Economy with us this morning even though on your e-ticket it states Business class. I cant unfortunately put you in business class as it is sold out. Just my luck. Luckily after he talked to other agent, The airline itself and I made a bit of a fuss he awarded me a refund in the form of 1 return economy ticket on Comair anywhere in their network for the next 12 months. Sweet!
I then proceeded to have a Latte at Wimpy and enjoyed the last moments with my family.(who were still very much sleepy at this point )
At 5:30 I proceeded to the security gate and passed through effortlessly, there as 3 people in front of me and no one behind. It was one of the most relaxed security check points I have ever seen. No one checking the bagging x-ray machines and everyone just yawning and looking awfully useless. Boarding started at Gate A15,the very end of the domestic terminal. Very little people at the gate and I proceeded though with the gate agent telling me to enjoy the shuttle flight to JNB this morning.

Job well done
Landing scheduled: 08:15
Landed 07:59
For an airplane of this age it is extremely well maintained and I would not hesitate to fly on it again. So clean inside and the interiors still looks fresh and the airplane isn't dirty etc. Well presented Comair.
Next leg coming tomorrow JNB-HKG on CX
