Name: Safdarjung airport

ICAO:VIDD

IATA:#na

passenger numbers: 15 million approx.

runway length: unknown. No sources found on google, (requesting help from data collectors)

co-ordinates:28.5844° N, 77.2058° E

country:India

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any source for the runway length and the passenger count is estimated. I hope you will understand that there are indeed no sources for this airport that I have found, not even wikipedia, but that doesn't count.

Thanks. This will be useful for regional airlines in India. Hopefully, Yuxi will add this.

Isn't this Airport officially closed since 2002 and only now does VIP flights like the president and maintenance runs?

It still operates. It hasn't closed, and I doubt it ever will. I remember going on a flight with Indigo from there in 2009. It can't be closed. The wiki says it is.

There was a Forum post about this very airport some months ago on Airliners.net where they also discussed the current status of this airport and everyone sounded like they wasn't to sure. They were giving info on presidential runs and maintenance being done there. That's all I can remember anyway. Hence why I ask with the info above... .

Airports can't be added without IATAs  I would hazard a guess that this is similar to La Bourget in Paris?
