The world's fastest train, le Train à Grande Vitesse (TGV)
My favorite are the Sud-Est models, especially in the orange livery, but the SNCF has repainted them all in grey now

I'd have to say its the Frecciarossa 1000. Makes travelling across italy cheaper and faster than flying or anything comparable... plus they can reach 400 km/h (though I've never been in one that does, yet)!

LATAM
I have to settle on these two similar units because they have phenomenal braking performance. They mainly operate over ground and enter 200 metre platforms at 80km/h and stop just fine.
E231
The E233s on the Tokyo Chuo line often accelerate at full power up to 95km/h, coast for less than 3 seconds and go into full braking for the next stop. Day in, day out.
For me, it starts and ends with the Great Western Railway 'Kings':
Note : Canadian Airlines DC-10 in CPAir Livery.
the one that takes me downtown
Windows 7 is superior, change my mind
Mmmm, Bombardier Mk. VI Monorail or TVG takes the cake for me. I'm not much of a train person though otherwise.

And how do you add pictures? I tried copying image url, inserting image from files and copy and paste, but it always said that AE doesn't support it. This is bulls***.
In my opinion, this thread should have started and ended with one post. There can only be one.
I like my trains to be old, slow, uncomfortable, and smell like piss. The Class 142 pacer does all of those.
