QF has a better livery. And people won't be able to carry uut their favourite past time of QF bashing. If QF died then they'd have to VA bash which doesn't work because apparently they have a superior network. Then when QF-EK happens people complain how the plane to milan isn't a QF aircraft, But no one cares if VA is codesharing.

Was CNS-SIN based on connections or O&D?

targeting Barrier Reef pax I assume. there would be feed from the 3K network. wouldn't be too much O&D as most of Singapore's mining stuff is in Western Australia

JQ are launching a daily BNE-HBA service with an A320. This will make them the 2nd carrier on the route after VA who currently operate a daily 737-800.

So China Southern will do some 787 flying into Auckland.

This will probably make it the first scheduled 787 flight into Auckland, after United decided not to open Houston to Auckland because it got pissy with Houston City.

The CZ 787 looks pretty reasonable, however notably it lacks direct aisle access in business class.

It also will make it one of the only carriers flying first class into Auckland.

In other, slightly outdated news, the first 787-9 was rolled out at a Boeing factory, this will probably be delivered to Air New Zealand.

Speaking of A380s, all three Emirates Australia -> Auckland flights diverted to Christchurch a few days ago, according to A.net, because QF jammed its brakes on Auckland's runway.

This means Christchurch had to deal with 2 EK A380s and 2 EK 77Ws.

Dunno how that went...
