Hi guys, hope everyone is well. I'm wondering what aircraft are people's go-to for replacing their Airbus A300's? Mine are getting on for 30 years old, but there doesn't seem to be anything on the market that matches the capability of the A300 (high density, medium range, short runway capability).

For now I've been replacing mine with 767-300ER's and a smattering of used A300-600R's, but I feel that I can do better.

What do you think?

I’d say the A330-200 and 767-400ER are better replacements because they are newer and have similar capacity. If you can wait for the 787-8, that would be a perfect fit.

The 767-300 can land on a shorter runway than the -300ER. If you need the "ER" (ie, the extra range), I lke the A330-300 as it gives you more seats to make the longer trips worthwhile.

767-200ER it may be small but it works well on any routes in the past I have flowen them across the globe on routes that only have 30 pax demand , and they make a good profit

Those are pretty good. I often have used 767-200ER on extra long haul routes because it’s often the only thing that’s profitable. However, I don’t think it is a good fit to replace the A300 because they serve different markets (A300 - Medium Haul, 767-200ER - Extra Long Haul) and the A300 is still into production when the 200ER comes out, while it’s on its way out when the 400ER comes out.

You could do A321-200 for smaller routes or A330-200 or B767-400ER for larger routes to major airport.

Many airlines in real life who use A300 replace them with A330-200/-300 or newer B767.

The Ilyushin Il-96, though it's longer range than you specified.

777-200s can do a similar job to the A330-300s as well, and minimum runway requirement is slightly shorter (not by much though); biggest drawback (as I'm discovering now) is the deliveries every 4 weeks instead of 3...

A330-300 makes the most sense have them replace with Boeing 787-10s

A330-200 or 767-300ER, both have great range and similar number of seats

Boeing 767-300 since it nearly shares the same range as the A300
