Group A | Vias Aereas Peruanas | Lima - Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM | SPJC)

8me5H5k.png

tigIJ9p.png

Vías Aéreas Peruanas (IATA: VP | ICAO: VPR | CALLSIGN: INCA), commonly shortened to simply Peruana, is the flag carrier and largest airline of the South American nation of Peru. Since its founding in 1971, the airline has grown to become a respected member of the South American airline scene, operating a fleet of 27 aircraft and flying to 43 destinations across the Americas from its hub at Lima.

In 2019, Peruana selected the Airbus A330neo as its new flagship as a part of a small-scale fleet modernisation program, ordering 2 of the shorter A330-800 to operate its highest-capacity services to the United States. By February 2022, both aircraft were delivered, allowing the retirement of the Boeing 767 from the fleet. The airline has looked into using the aircraft to start flights up to Europe using the new airliner, with destinations such as London and Madrid on the cards. However, no formal announcement as to whether these routes are economically viable has been made as of December 2022.

So I've thought about making a Peruvian brand for a while, and decided that this competition would be a good time to get started. The name and colour scheme were easy to come up with, but the logo was a bit more of a challenge. I didn't want the logo to just be an abstracted outline of a condor, and I also didn't want to do a traditional Incan symbol to use for the logo. This is when I was introduced to the weaving symbols made by the Quechua people. Among the symbols I found was this very interesting, more geometric style of Condor symbol, and I wanted to emulate this in my logo. What I ended up with is a logo that, I believe, captures the essence of the traditional Quechua weaved symbol, but gives it a much more dynamic style, giving more of an illusion of a bird in flight. An example of the kind of symbols I was inspired by can be found here: https://www.mosqoy.org/textile-symbols

Grupo C - PANACAR (Panameña de Carga) - Panamá | MPTO

ATA: PDA | OACI: PC  | LLAMADO: PANACAR

[archivo adjunto=25694:Logo_Panacar.png]

Panamanian Cargo, is an airline founded in 2010, starting operations in February 2012, by acquiring 4 Airbus A300B4-600R aircraft from Thai Airways International and converting them into freighters.

With routes in Central America, the Caribbean, South America, Mexico and the east coast of the United States, we quickly became part of the market, which allowed us to have 5 aircraft by 2015.

By the year 2022, thanks to the excellent service, we already have a fully Airbus fleet that includes 3 A330P2Fs, which allows us to cover the west coast of the United States and the southern cone, in addition to 03 A321P2Fs and the recently delivered A320P2F.

The good news does not stop coming as the order for 02 A350F was placed and thus be able to reach new destinations in EUROPE and ASIA.

Group A | AereoCaribeño | San Juan (SJU)

AereoCaribeño is the unofficial flag carrier of Puerto Rico and is a full service carrier connecting various cities and islands in the Caribbean with major cities in the United States. Headquartered in San Juan, it has its main hub there along with Miami. Even though it is a full service carrier, the airline is a popular choice for American tourists flying to the Caribbean.

The airline was founded in 1980 with a pair of DC-9-30s in order to better connect San Juan to continental United States. The airline would also acquire some regional turboprops to provide better inter-island connectivity too. The airline currently operates a fleet DHC-6 and DHC-8 for short inter-island hops around the Caribbean and A220s and A320s for connections to larger cities in the Caribbean and the United States.
