Similar to KNYJ, LUTR has time slots and gates available for operations at Terminal 2. Our restrictions are that the operating aircraft have a maximum takeoff weight of no more than 280 metric tonnes, and the ability to take off from the available runway length at MTOW.

Time slots are in 15 minute intervals. Most aircraft use 2-3 slots while at the gates. Three jetways (2A-2C) are currently operational, with gate 2D under construction. 2E-2J are spaces just north of Terminal 2, capable of servicing regional and narrow-body airliners.

Observe the following table to determine available slots. For Outbound flights, aircraft occupy gates for (slots n * 15) minutes BEFORE the listed time, which is a departure. For Inbound flights, the same formula is used, but indicates minuted AFTER the listed time, which is an arrival. When an aircraft is not at the gate but at the airport, it is moved to a parking space, either in the designated parking area or on Taxiway D, a taxiway which often goes unused anyway.

Last Tiraspol post for now, I promise. This is just Terminal 2's layout of gates.

There's nothing saying airliners can't load and unload from the right. But if it's that much of an issue, I'll flip the gate around.

While technically most can, I don't believe it's done anywhere. On top of this, some planes (such as the CRJ and MD-80/717) have smaller doors on the right hand side.

Mate, airliners always board from the left hand side.

Why is there no customs through out all of the terminals? that is the biggest issue of ORD right now...

All passengers entering the international terminal must pass through security. The passport control at the entrance to the international terminal is located after security, so domestic connecting passengers can reach their gate without passing through security an additional time.

All passengers leaving the international terminal (the upper level of Terminal A) will have to pass through Customs upon entry. After passing Customs they will take an escalator down into the central atrium. If they need to enter the secure areas of the airport (for connecting flights, to access other terminals), they must pass through security again.

Update on NYNJ Airport:

Gates are going fast: Our last gates for sale are available in Terminal 2 for All departures and Domestic arrivals. These can be purchased along with International Arrival slots in Terminal 1, if needed. These gates can each fit up to a 757, or with two gates purchased Aircraft up to 777-300ER can be accommodated.

Plenty of slots are available in Concourses C and D for International Arrivals and Departures of Heavy aircraft. NYNJ Airport is willing to waive airport fees for airlines willing to open non-stop flights to Latin America and Asia, as we feel these areas are as of yet underserved.

The map so far (White signifies open gates):

Gates are going fast at Roosevelt International Airport (IATA: DCI / ICAO: KDCI), where Oceanic Airlines and Transatlantic Airlines have already declared their intentions to open hubs at the airport, and MidAmerican Airlines has declared its intention to move its Washington Dulles-based focus city to the airport. Gates in grey have been claimed by airlines. Gates A26-A28, C1-C8 and B24-B30 are common use for international departures, however domestic slots are fast-going. The airline is looking to South American and African airlines for service, but all airlines are welcome to apply for slots at the airport.

Oceanic Airlines has declared Concourse A to become Washington's home to AllianceOne members, while MidAmerican is consolidating Dynasty World Alliance's Washington operations in its Concourse C CrownHub. More information to come soon.

We can give TransCanada gates F7-F9 in Terminal 2. In addition we can provide slots in D Concourse for all 4 airlines, and all of these gates are A380 compatible. In addition NYNJ Airport can offer you space for a lounge across from gate D11, if you so desire.
