Even though my favorite airport is JFK for emotional reasons, I think I'd probably have to say that DTW is objectively the nicest major airport in the US. The terminal is new, clean, efficient, and beautiful. Flights are generally on time, and it even has a train inside the terminal building!

my favorite airport is AFW...
I live right north of the airport in Alliance, Texas. May not have commercial service, but still an airport :D

Interesting indeed... If I were to go for a tiny airport like that - It'd be Boeing Field in Seattle, near downtown. They have armchairs in the waiting room!

Of the very few airports I've been to or remember being to, I'd have to say ATL because it's such a large airport yet so easy to navigate, and no matter what terminal you're in you can get a good view of the runways and aircraft and you can see all the lively plane traffic. There's always so many aircraft moving around and every time I've flown through ATL it was such a fun experience.

My second would have to be my homeport Washington Reagan (DCA) because of its location. The airport is just right across the water from all the major tourist attractions so you're always bound to catch some aircraft making their final approach. And it's small yet busy so it's easy to get through and there's plenty of good catches like Virgin America's A321neo. The metro is also above ground which allows you to get to see the ground traffic for a good moment if you're not flying. And lastly it's the only airport I've seen that makes the 757(airports largest scheduled aircraft) look like an absolute beast flying low over the 14th street bridge.

It's a toss-up between DFW and LAX-TBIT for me.

TBIT in LAX is like a shopping mall with none of the bad things about one.

Even the other terminals (Southwest's included) are nice.

London Heathrow (EGLL). Let's face it, May and Trump want the UK to become the 52nd state (After Canada, of course!).

KEWR - Newark Liberty International

It's my closest airport and has way less traffic compared to other airports.

EWR, of course, it's my home airport. Only 15 minutes from where I am! I can get to my gate from my bed in under 45 minutes!

My favorite now is probably SEA - great gate spotting and a decent airport as well

For regular spotting, though, I think I prefer JFK - what a place!
