So, this is what I was arguing/ discussing with my friends recently. What mode of transport do you prefer? I like trains. I know this is a aviation website but I'm curious... Would you prefer an hour journey on a train, plane, bus or car?
Edit: On second thoughts, I'd go by train to the airport.

Rail you go faster than car and planes just take too long. (all the stuff you have to do at the airport.)

So I feel "Rail" could mean qutie many things..

As I'd very much rather be in the cabin of a 737 then on a old train to school.

But I'd swap that 737 for a high speed train trip any day... :P

I have a rail journey on my wish list. Narrow gauge railway, eight hour journey to Shimla in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Unfortunately Ireland has a terrible and centralised railway system. If you don't want to go to Dublin the bus or car is the only option.

For me, planes and trains are close. But I have to go with aircraft. As I want to become a pilot.
