Can't purchase used planes

I am running an airline for someone who has about 40 trillion in cash - enough to buy all planes in the game probably. But whenever I try to purchase a single plane it says I lack sufficient funds. What gives?

Can you please post a screenshot of the lacking funds message with the entire window?
