#236969 For some reason, millions and millions of dollars are being spended.
Posted by tyriq on 15 May 2017 - 02:36 AM in New Players and Questions
What happened here was either gate cost for home airport or first aircraft lease.Okay, seriously. I just started a brand-new airline, barely did ANYTHING, and I have 207,500 DOLLARS in expenses ALREADY?!

Actually the question was misinterpreted. I was asking which type of airline players(In AE worlds) do people hate the most, but a couple people answered with real world airlines so I just said, eh What the hell.May i ask the OP, is your question and thread related to real world aviation or AE worlds?
Because if it is the first one, then this is in the incorrect subforum.
Let me know.
Regards,
But ultimately the question is in the forum.

#236044 What is a balanced IFS Configuration?
Posted by tyriq on 01 May 2017 - 08:56 PM in General AE Discussion
Here's what do to get green ratings. I like combine 4 or 5 star IFE with a 3 or more star IFS. From 1990 to roughly 2003 you can use level 5 AOD with level 5 projectors(20 per hundred seats) to give you five stars IFE. The cost should be around 4,000 or less per trip.
For IFS I use 5 level 3 rating free snacks with free pillows, kids pack, and headphones. They must be free as this is cheaper for your airline. This IFS should give you 3 stars and when combined with the IFE above should give you a green rating in the route management tabs.

This concept would be better of with its own world, rather than the current "realistic" worlds.
#235619 How is this possible for a 777??
Posted by tyriq on 22 April 2017 - 01:20 AM in General AE Discussion
It's possible because of runway requirements.
The a350-800 (which is what I used) and the 747-400d can also fly from SNA in AE.

Country: germany
Aircraft: a350-900
Color preferences: Think of the new KLM livery, but the blue part would vary between between 3 colors being a light green, Orange, and dark blue. The word Acadia should be where it says klm. And I want the tail logo to be a capital letter A with the same color as the the upper fuselage.

#235130 Open Skies Option

I think the best way to seperate this from open worlds is to make it so that airlines can only fly from outside their country if an alliance partner has a hub at a the airport that you want to fly from. (Kinda like United with ANA at tokyo NRT.) And I also feel like what Geminijets 30 said could work in conjunction with this, where home countries get priority passengers. The problem I see is that this would render the R worlds full of spam, which are (somewhat) protected from it currently. Basically giving airlines the go-ahead to fly like an Open world. There would have to be ways to limit the amount of 'foreign' routes that carriers could buy into. However, I do like the idea as playing in an R-World can sometimes be frustrating when trying to emulate an airline such as Delta, United, or even carriers like EVA Air that have flights from other cities.
Although the problem with this might be alliance partners competing with each other.

#234326 What do you think of this airline?
Posted by tyriq on 24 March 2017 - 08:56 PM in General AE Discussion
Heres the basic details on Vests Airways.
(Started in 1993 in MSP Minneapolis and quickly expanded into the California market with Sacramento and Santa Ana airports. The main focus was domestic travel, but due to very little international servive at Newark liberty airport we quickly began hub operations at EWR and it has since become our largest airport by flight operations and revenue. Palm Beach is our main Southern hub. Other hub airports such as RDU, IAH, PIT, MDW, and DCA, were opened in order for the airline to add more flights to certain destinations and keep out of competition at just one airport in order to maximize revenue per flight but we have since become the largest airline at most of our hubs in the process, and one of the world's largest airlines. We are currently in competition with continental airlines at Houston and Newark, and two Low cost carriers, California Pacific at Newark, and Bliss Airways, at Chicago MDW.)
Heres the basic details of Vesta Orient.
(Started in 1996, at Seoul Gimpo airport. At the time, it was the second airline to be based in South Korea, and remained the second largest airline (out of 3) in the country until 2008, which is the current year. Originally it had two hubs at Gimpo and Jeju where it was the largest carrier at both airports. It faced heavy competition from Korean Airlines until they went idle, and a slight competition from Fresh Air until codeshare agreement were established via alliance. My main focus for the airline now is building up a me hub at Incheon airport to the idleness of Korean Airlines.)
I probably didn't need the details, but I find it fun.
#234015 Hub and spoke vs. point-to-point

Other than those you should lean toward hub and spoke because all other countries are smaller and only have like 2 airports with over 20 million passengers.
