#279405 Need Help 34 mill in debt what do i do?

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 13 October 2019 - 04:08 PM in General AE Discussion

If you haven't request extension on all your leases and maybe risk a few defaults on your payment. Also have all aircraft work on routes that are the most profitable. If that doesn't work then just declare your airline bankrupt. Hope this helps :P

#277921 Legroom and on time performance

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 12 July 2019 - 04:20 AM in General AE Discussion

Yep! Less pax seats contributes to more legroom :)

Improving on-time performance is challenge and you can only do so much to the point it seems you cannot max out. One way to improve is to not completely fill your aircraft with hours. You can do that by setting a border where any aircraft under a certain amount of time will not be used (unless it's really needed). For example, I have a setting (you do this when you add flights and there's a small box that allows you to show aircraft with more than x amount of hours) for any aircraft that has less than 30 hours it cannot fly.

Another way is to use aircraft that have get reliability. Unfortunately the exact aircraft is really difficult so it's best to try out different aircraft that is suited for the route to see which has the best on time performance.

Finally increasing the pay for the cabin crew (most importantly) and having more reserves will help increase the on time availability rating

#277918 Why is a 747-300 less fuel efficient than a 747-400?

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 11 July 2019 - 10:08 PM in New Players and Questions

Correct

Ah sweet thanks.

You said something about the age of an aircraft that affects fuel economy, what does that do?

#277882 Comment How Much U Make a Day

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 10 July 2019 - 12:09 AM in New Players and Questions

around 28 million but I get 8 million in profit per month LOL

Used to get 98 million/month but that was when I had around 15 million per day. Not exactly sure why it went downhill :C

#277881 Why is it more profitable to use WBs on short haul routes?

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 10 July 2019 - 12:07 AM in New Players and Questions

Okay WBs is obviously wide bodies right? Why are you scolding him for using it? I mean anyone can guess and I’m pretty sure it has been used before.

All aircraft are more profitable on domestic routes, but require more gates per unit of profit as compared to long haul. This is important if your airport is running out of gates (i had an airline bfr it ran out of gates in my 200 gate terminal got so franctic until I quit the game)

I wasn't aware WBs meant wide bodies and I wasn't trying to scold him, I found it interesting that he used that acronym before. I normally just hear people say Wide Bodies.

By saying all aircraft are profitable would you include helicopters? Cause They're hardly profitable.

#277880 Why is a 747-300 less fuel efficient than a 747-400?

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 09 July 2019 - 11:59 PM in New Players and Questions

Did you check the engine you used when buying the aircraft? Also, the speed affects the fuel economy. Let’s say two different aircraft have the same fuel flow but one is faster. The faster one will be more fuel efficient. Age of aircraft affects fuel economy too.

The engine for the 747-300 is Rolls Royce RB-211 524D4-B

on the 747-400 it's the same however instead of D4-B it's a 524G (In this case a RB 211-524G)

The B744 flies faster than the B743, so, if the fuel consumption was identical on both, for example, you will use less fuel on the B744 as it spends less time in the air. As a result, despite the B744 having a slightly higher SFC, it's more economical in operation.

So theoretically an aircraft that is faster would use less fuel in some cases, if not a lot?

#277861 Why is a 747-300 less fuel efficient than a 747-400?

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 08 July 2019 - 02:09 AM in New Players and Questions

I rarely post here so I am not the smartest XD

anyways I was testing out whether a 747-400 would be worse than a 747-300 and turns out I was wrong. I am not sure why. For both aircraft I chose engines that had the least amount of fuel used (circled in red). For a 747-400 it has a slightly higher fuel consumption than the -300 but has better economics. Any reason why? Sorry if it is a dumb question.

Now yes it is obv on what is the seat config so I uploaded that. It's almost the same with the difference being the 747-400 has first class seats and the 747-300 doesn't and has an extra 10 more seats in economy

#277860 Why is it more profitable to use WBs on short haul routes?

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 08 July 2019 - 01:59 AM in New Players and Questions

Hey, I don't post much here so sorry if I seem dumb but what do you mean exactly by WBs? Haven't heard one used that acronym before.

Anyways for short haul routes, using a 767-200ER is likely to give more profit than long haul because of competiton as well as fuel cost. If you fly a longer route you pay more in fuel, however the ticket prices are much higher. But add in competition and it makes it difficult to make a profit. That's why I tend to use Lockheeds for Short haul routes as they generate about 300-500k depending on the route haha

If you were to use a wide-body aircraft use them on routes that have not as much competition and have load factors at or near 100% with the ticket prices being the highest you can make without losing any pax

#277086 Routes For A380

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 05 May 2019 - 06:00 PM in New Players and Questions

I only used the A380 once and just used them for short haul and medium flights that have high demand and don't see much of a fluctuation. That way you'll get a ton of  money and low fuel costs

#277085 People are so impolite

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 05 May 2019 - 05:57 PM in New Players and Questions

I had a moron email me asking why I named my airline after the continent it was based in...but that's pretty awesome.

XD

#276314 767-300er doesn't want to fly...

which airport in Tokyo are you flying from? Cause I believe Haneda has a restriction on certain aircraft.

#276109 I need help fast for my new airline!

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 22 March 2019 - 05:23 PM in New Players and Questions

lease as many used aircrafts as possible and use them on long distance routes. They make a lot of money. Only downside is that the amount of frequencies will be lower cause its a longer distance and it takes more time :)

#276108 Buying A lot of Aircraft at once

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 22 March 2019 - 05:21 PM in New Players and Questions

Unless they have a ton of cash, yea they ordered that much. If not then they lease it. I just leased about 40 DC-8s LOL

#275941 Fuel consumption

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 16 March 2019 - 01:01 AM in General AE Discussion

You could have, for instance, tested the fuel bill for a 744 vs. a 77L.

This is the kind of basic and easy information gathering.

Fuel consumption per mile is a simple matter of flow*time, where time = (stage length) / speed

Add seats to that calculation and you have fuel efficiency.

It's all ridiculous of course, as you'll see things like the 737-400 having lower fuel burn than the -800.

This is because the game calculates fuel flow based on specific fuel consumption at takeoff and at full thrust, imagining that these conditions hold for the entire flight. The concepts of L/D and even weight are far beyond the game's  purview.

I see, so the easiest way would be to test it out right?

Also thank you guys for your feedback!! :D

#275344 How do you improve on-time preformance?

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 05 February 2019 - 04:28 AM in New Players and Questions

I don't think it depends on which airport you are flying in and out of in. What matters are these :):

  • Employee moral-HIre more and/or increase pay for your employees as they will improve it
  • Not using high utilization. Generally I follow a rule, if it's under 30 hours I don't use that aircraft.
  • Some aircraft give high on time performance, others not so much. For example, a 777-200 gets 70-71 (borderline of green and yellow) if you fly once a week, includes if you fly more than once.

#275097 Fuel consumption

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 24 January 2019 - 04:41 PM in General AE Discussion

You know I don’t really know how fuel consumption is calculated
All I know is that the faster the plane, although the plane has a slightly higher fuel flow but the fuel consumption is still the same.
Like how is it calculated in the first place

I feel like it should've been more clear on the fuel consumption because it makes it makes it somewhat unclear whether is it for each engine or total?.

#275054 good md 11 replacement

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 23 January 2019 - 01:00 AM in General AE Discussion

777-200. Between the seat capacity and fuel consumption, its clear the 777 is better. Depending on the engine configuration, the 777-200 also beats the MD-11 in runway length.

The 767s are good, but only if there isn't enough demand. Similarily to the 777, it has a better fuel consumption.

If you're an airbus fan sure an A330 can work too lol, just the price is going to be higher for that

#275049 PewDiePie vs T-Series

isn't pewdiepie a nazi

11 years old around the world would support Pewipie. Including the Nazi group and the Gamergaters.

I can see why people would consider him a nazi, and what he did was wrong but he apologized for what he has said so I don't think he isn't one (unless you're joking with me)

#275047 Fuel consumption

Posted by NotSureWhatToUse on 22 January 2019 - 09:13 PM in General AE Discussion

Regarding Fuel Consumption for four-engine aircraft (maybe two-engine aircraft as well) is it in total or is it per engine? Capture.PNG

For example for this 747-400, its about 73k. Is it for all 4 engines its 73k, or each engine has a fuel consumption of 73k?

Same can be said for the 777-200LR

Capture 2.PNG

Thank you in advance, and sorry if this is the wrong thread, I rarely post here :P

Thanks and have a good day/night :-)

Who do you think is gonna win?

I say PewdiePie. T-series uses bots. To show support for pewdiepie I made an airline that supports him lmao.
