#48929 I don't get it...

Posted by Elan on 08 July 2007 - 07:58 PM in Game Discussion (SIM2)

Ok, but it doesn't explain why my Dallas-Cincinnati route did the same thing. I would also state that I am making $108,000 on that route with an ATR-42-500. I have tried NUMEROUS aircraft and route configurations. I tried smaller aircraft, large aircraft, small cities, and large cities and got the same conclusion! This is what I do not understand.

Ok, I just put my ERJ on a new route to bigger cities and now its making around $80,000. Yet, I still think that that needs to be addressed. I mean small cities still can be profitable. Even with big aircraft. I mean Delta flys 75's down there to PBI.

Ok, I'm guessing this is just a LF glitch. As, I switch to a small ERJ-135 and the LF is still really far down. I do change my ticket price. For example. If I wanted to make a profit with my Q400. Palm Beach to Cancun, I changed the price from 800 dollars to 150. Load factor was still 60%. Then the B1900 goes back up to its $108,000. That just isn't right. I'm going to buy a big 757 and do a long haul route and see what I can do. I just wish this glitch wouldn't happen every time.

Every plane and route combination I have tried, and I never get a reasonable profit. I have a B1900D making $50,000 a day on a route. I go to replace that with an ATR-42-500, and it makes only about $16,000 because the load factor is only say 15%. Then I switch back to the B1900D and the load factor goes back up to 100% and its making 50 grand again. I tried this with a Q400, ATR, ERJ, and B1900D. I tried creating new routes, going to major cities. All this time I had NO competition. What is going on??

BTW this is sim2.

#48894 Q400 glitch?

Oh, I have. I used the route research feature. I looked at Palm Beach to Dallas Love. Take a look for yourself. No competition. You know how much I make when I try it? -$10,000. 0 pax percentage. I tried numerous other routes too, with other planes, that have no competition. The research says it will make hundreds of thousands of dollars. Yet I get negative ten thousand.

Ok, an please explain to me another thing. Why is it when I switch out my B1900D for my Q400 to take over, I get the negative profit. Then, when I switch it back to the B1900 it go up like $4,000 from the original start. To me this can only be like you said, the aircraft has too many seats. But then I tried a new route at major airports only to get the same thing.

#48891 Q400 glitch?

Posted by Elan on 07 July 2007 - 10:07 PM in Game Discussion (SIM2)

Ah, gotcha. So if I were to do a Denver to Los Angeles route, it should work better. The smaller the airport, the smaller the airplane needed. Right?

*Edit* Ok, I just tried a Dallas Love-Miami route and got the same thing. Those are two big airports and it still came out to a negative profit. I don't get what happens when I buy a 757 for example. I think this is a glitch. Every route I try I get the same thing. I'm going to try an ERJ-145. Still, I don't see why the PAX load is soooo low with the Q400. The ATR-42-500 holds 48 and it works fine.

#48889 Q400 glitch?

Posted by Elan on 07 July 2007 - 09:24 PM in Game Discussion (SIM2)

Ok, just bought a brand new Q400. I want to swap it for my B1900 route Palm beach-Cancun. I click change aircraft, and the profit is no around -$9,000. I see the passenger load is anywhere from 0-10%. I try changing the ticket price dramatically and it barely does a thing. Then, I switch it back to my B1900 and the profit goes up from where it started!

Then I tried opening a whole new route, new gates, etc. Same thing happens. The research route shows that I should be getting around $200,000 for one route, and it turns out its -$9,000. Also, it says the PAX percent should be 100% where it is only 0%. I tried numerous routes and other aircraft to replace. Whats up?

#48853 Error Message...

Posted by Elan on 04 July 2007 - 05:10 AM in Game Discussion (SIM2)

Ok, I'll try that. If it doesn't work, I'm going to sell it. I think it glitched because I went to my other route, and tried to switch A/C, which was a B1900 and it said I could only get one hop out of it...

Excuse me, but what is the difference between Sim1 (Original) and Sim2 (Premium)?

#48846 Error Message...

Posted by Elan on 03 July 2007 - 06:16 PM in Game Discussion (SIM2)

Ok, I have two B1900Ds. One is already in service and the other is just sitting there with 22 hours. I want to do a Palm Beach-Richmond route. I have plenty of gates and slots, and I get this:

Either you have no aircraft with enough daily hours,
enough range, or the aircraft does not fly through any of the cities on this route
Go Back and try again.

I even tried a Palm Beach-Savannah route which is 350 miles and still get the same message. Same with a Palm Beach-Dallas hop. I tried many combinations and I still get this error message. My B1900 has 22 hours and a range of about 1,200 miles. Whats the deal?
