As Star moved into its new identity under the Happy brand and logo it also continued to establish itself as a substantial LCC particularly in Holiday markets. The Reno hub flourished as did Fort Meyers but Little Rock, Albany, and Sarcramento faded. A new hub opened in Palm Beach. This was also a period of mass sell offs of MD series aircraft and by 2011 the very last of the type, an MD-90 left the fleet. In their place, a motley collection of A320s, 319s, and the odd 321 grew. Most of these were used but none were outlandishly old and the airline had big plans for fleet updates. Executives in 2010 decided that the airline's livery - whilst serviceable - lacked pop. Star aircraft at the airport existed but didn't scream for attention. This was shame because the airline was paying to paint them anyway why shouldn't they stand out? At the same time, executives finally decided to fully move the carrier away from www.cheapflights.com to the slightly more stately flystar.com. These two forced converged to form a new livery for San Antonio's favourite airline and in 2012 it rolled out on an A320. Calling this a new livery is a bit of an overstatement because it didn't largely replace the old livery. Certainly some planes were repainted but at an extremely leisurely pace. However, the new livery certainly did make a visual statement.

Fun Fact: Even though this aircraft featured a satcom dome for inflight entertainment from its previous owner Star did not use the inflight entertainment and did not remove the dome from the aircraft.
