The 787 is the flagship of Magavia's fleet, operating long-haul routes from Budapest to destinations in Asia, North America, and South America.
Magavia entered the 21st century with an ageing fleet of older Western-built airliners and a few remaining Soviet-era aircraft. Between 2000 and 2012, the airline transitioned from older Boeing 737 Classic and 767 aircraft to a modern fleet of more efficient airliners. These efforts culminated in 2012 with the introduction of a new livery and cabin interiors.
