Upon its founding in 1976, in addition to purchasing six Tridents, Royal Dhahrani Airways leased a single Vickers Type 1150 - a Super VC10 registered G-ADXC. This aircraft was used to operate daily flights to London Heathrow. As part of an agreement with Royal Airways, the LHR-SMA route was flown once daily by Royal Dhahrani's Super VC10, and once daily by a Royal Airways 707. On days when the carrier's single VC10 was undergoing scheduled maintenance, it would be replaced on the route by a Royal Airways-operated Super VC10. As demand increased, however, the LHR-SMA route called for larger equipment, Royal Airways upgraded its daily service to an L1011 or 747-100 depending on the season, while Royal Dhahrani returned G-ADXC and purchased something larger, which will be shown soon.

Disclaimer: This project is designed to look at the progression of aviation in a more-or-less generic fictional Middle Eastern state. Any similarities to real people, locations, or situations may be intentional. I have zero knowledge of Arabic, so while I have spent considerable time trying to get it right, mistakes are possible, and any advice is greatly appreciated.
