08 January 2018 - 09:08 AM

Thought I would congratulate South Korea for officially having the busiest air route between two destinations in the world for 2017!

As per the article in Stuff.co.nz,

The world's busiest air route is in South Korea, from the holiday island of Jeju to the capital of Seoul. According to flight data website OAG.com, airlines fly the route a whopping 64,991 times a year.

As for International routes, well that belongs to Hong Kong - Taipei with the route being flown 29,494 times in 2017.
