    Sudden Passenger Demand Collapse?

    Posted 14 Jan 2012

I am operating out of San Jose Santamaria (SJO) in the new R world (unlimited airlines). I was keeping track of airports with daily passenger demand in the 400-500 range from SJO, such as MIA, MEX, IAH, etc., and was flying to a few of them once daily with a 737-400 with 188 seats, so nowhere near filling the demand. I logged out and then logged in a few hours later and everything had changed. Now, all the airports I had put in the 400+ category have all collapsed down to under 200 passenger demand/day. Any idea what happened?

Similar collapse has happened for South American airports that I am flying to or was planning on flying to such as BOG, CCS, CGH, SCL. It seems like it's right across the board. Was there an adjustment in the passenger #s at SJO or something?

Just seems very strange, never happened before (aside from the normal seasonal fluctuations of +10-20 either way, of course).

World 02 - SFO incorrect passenger numbers?

    Posted 3 Jan 2012

In World O2, SFO is shown as having just over 23,000,000 passengers per year, while SEA and CLT (similar sized airports) are both 30,000,000+ (as they should be). Were SFO's passenger numbers incorrectly entered? They should be around 34-36,000,000, off the top of my head. Other large major airports such as DFW, LAX, etc. seem to all be right as well.
